David is more than happy to take over for a bit when he gets the note asking him to. He's under a bit of stress at uni (which is fairly standard), so he could use the distraction.

He even scribbles out a quick specials list.

"It's a comedy," David says as he finds a damp cloth for Sam and to pull a pint. "About a man who creates an alter ego for himself so he can be as dissolute as he likes in town and as respectable as he should be in the country."

"Does it work?" It doesn't sound like it would unless he's a good liar.

"For a time, yes," David says, laughing. "But of course, that's where the comedy comes from."

"Oh, I couldn't pull that off. Even when I had an illusion on to help, I still messed things up. If you'd like, I'd enjoy seeing it and Oxford,"

He liked David's world, it reminded him on Ancelstierre.

"I'd like that! When we put it on, I'll let you know and get you a ticket."

"Thanks, so lines. What's your part?"

"Algernon. He's the main character's best friend, and he's determined to seduce his young ward."

"That sounds fun."

"It is quite. Not the type I'm used to playing, though."

"The director thinks you can do it, so I'm sure you can."

"Thank you. It will be a challenge at least."

"Those usually are the most interesting things though. It gets boring doing just what you know how to do."

"Yes, I suppose that's true, though it would be nice to take it easy for a while."

"I wonder if that's possible sometimes as it seems like the answer to doing one thing well is getting another one to do."

"Yes, that does seem to be the case more often than not," David agrees with a sigh.

Sam shrugs as he has no idea how to create more time other than coming to Milliways,

"How are your classes going?"

"All right. It's been rather a long term."

"Its been a long year. What do you do to celebrate Winter?"

"Hanukkah. It's...well, it's what my family celebrate."

"What's it like? We have the Frost Festival."

"It's based around the idea of light. So there are candles, and festivities, and it lasts for eight days."

"That sounds nice especially on long, cold nights."

"Yes, it's quite lovely."

"Do you have to do a lot of preparation for it?"

"Mostly just baking."
