Darius is in a relatively good mood when he comes into the bar today, and when a napkin pops up along with his requested sandwich, he smiles and readily accepts.

He still isn't sure he can handle too much that's complicated, so the specials he scrawls out are simple:

Beer
Wine
Whiskey

And he sits back with his sandwich to see if anyone shows up.

William laughed and shook his head, he hadn't meant to sound that stupid as he pulls off his gloves to drink the coffee,

"Well, yes, but at home, there's sun during the day and then at night, the cold takes your breath away."

Darius smiles and slides a steaming mug and a glass of whiskey across the bar.

"Where's home for you?"

"Arizona Territory in America, if you've got it, its desert and some mountains, cattle, copper mines and the railroad."

He shakes his head. "Sorry. I haven't heard of it. I mean, America, yeah, but no the rest of it."

William shrugs, he knows not everyone has, "Where are you from?"

"Panem? There are a few people here from my home if you've met them."

"I've heard the name though I don't remember from who just now."

"That's all right. I don't know any of them all that well."

"What's it like?"

He shrugs. "It's large. Twelve districts, governed by the Capitol."

"Oh, where do you live?"

"District Twelve. It's far away from the Capitol. I think it used to be called Appalachia?"

"Mining country?"

"Yes, coal. How did you know?"

"Cause that's what its like in my time. Coal comes from there."

"Oh, I see. Arizona must be part of Panem as well, then."

"I don't think it is cause we have states and territories not districts."

"No, I mean...in my past. Panem used to be called North America."

"Oh, I see, kind of like Ellen's world."

"I guess? I don't think I know Ellen."

"She's from a future that's pretty bad, but some of the places do match up. I mean I'm from farther in the past than most folks but her future was stranger than most. I probably ain't makin' much sense."

"No, it's..."

He laughs, shaking his head.

"You're right. Not much."

"I'm William Evans,"

He offers his hand over to Darius then takes a sip of the whiskey.

"Darius," he answers, taking the hand and shaking it. "Nice to meet you."

"You too. What do you do in Panem?"
