[Pre-Milliways: Dedication Day.]

Jack Benjamin -- or Prince Jonathan of Gilboa, but he won't insist -- steps into the Bar and closes the door on the party behind him. As confusing as it is to find a bar in the palace, he's got a look of eager anticipation.

"What is this place?"

His head turns and tilts to fit against the other's easily, and if Jack knew who Ganymede was, he might understand why. "Be my guest," he whispers back.

He kisses Ben simply, not demanding too much.

Not yet.

It's unexpected for there to be so few demands inherent in a kiss, especially a first kiss, for Ganymede. He responds beautifully as ever, feeling the familiar sort of ache between his shoulderblades when he forgets to breathe in for a moment too long.

Jack breaks it off with a soft laugh. "Hey, it's flattering if I take your breath away, but let's not be literal."

Sure enough, when they part he takes a sharper than average breath, chest expanding before it shakes in an answering laugh. "You made me forget for a minute."

"Well, good God," murmurs Jack, "flattery's gonna get you everywhere, kid."

Now he can't not chuckle. "It's not flattery. I would have remembered that," says Ganymede. "But perhaps not for a moment longer." In truth he likes forgetting; forgetting that every mortal he knows right now will predecease him by a likely substantial amount. But he just smiles, one hand coming up to cover his face for a passing second.

Jack takes his hand and kisses the back. Flirting hasn't been this simple since... well, ever.

He smiles at that, and twists his hand to brush a fingertip over the crest of Jack's bottom lip.

"Time stops while we're here, you said?" Jack says softly and licks his lower lip.

"Yes," he nods. "You can spend a lot of time here, or go to different worlds where nothing is the way it is at home."

"Oh, I'm pretty content to stay right here." He kisses the inside of Ben's wrist.

"I'm glad to hear that," he says quietly, leaning in to touch his lips to the corner of Jack's mouth.

Jack kisses along his jaw.

He laughs gently when that mouth sweeps over a ticklish spot below his jaw, making him smile. "Your mouth is delightful."

Jack chuckles against his neck. "Must be all that practice."

Ganymede chuckles. "Had that much?"

"Enough to know what I'm doing." He strokes Ben's hair. "Not that it's important."

"Oh, I believe you," he says, tilting his head back against Jack's hand. "Why isn't it?"

"Because all that matters is now." He smiles at Ben's response to his petting.

"I can't argue about that," he says, leaning his head back and exposing his neck.

Jack can take a hint. He kisses slowly down Ben's neck.

"And good at reading body language, too." He catches the underside of Jack's chin and tilts his head up. "Should we take this somewhere more private?"

"You're not exactly cryptic."

He glances around. "Is there a back room or something?"

"There are rooms upstairs, one of which I have a key for," he chuckles. "It even has a bed."
