Ambriel is outside, examining an uprooted tree. It seems there was a very large disturbance here.

But no metaphysical damage to the structure of Milliways. Nothing to worry about, then. Just something to keep an eye out for.

The angel perches at the top of the upturned roots and looks out over the lake.

"Not only mine, Ambriel."

Call it a reminder.

"But I thank you."

[ambriel]

"Do you believe it would be beneficial for me to apologize to him? Or should I try to avoid coming into contact with him again?"

Ambriel doesn't want to mess it up even more.

[theunsmiling]

"Talking to him alone is likely to avail you little."

On both sides, it would seem.

"But should you prefer to gain more exposure -- perhaps I might assist."

If Michael deems the circumstances appropriate, of course. (Or useful.)

"...perhaps you could convey my apology to him."

Michael is a messenger, right? And that would be much less humiliating than having your superior stand behind your shoulder while you try to correct your errors.

Ambriel may be old now, but is still relatively young in the angelic hierarchy. And has had that experience far too many times.

[theunsmiling]

Michael remains unsmiling.

"I shall make certain to do so."

She reaches out then to grip Ambriel's shoulder.

"Humans are strange and occasionally fatally foolish creatures, on the whole. But you'll grow used to them."

Ambriel may even grow to love them, in time -- perhaps even in the way Michael does.

[ambriel]

"Thank you, Michael. I do find them strange, but also fascinating and worthy of knowing. I will be more careful in the future."

It is true that Ambriel has spent the most time at Milliways with those who would not define themselves as strictly human. Perhaps an oversight.

"Eventually we'll get to the part where I explain how being un-careful works best."

Grammar is a thing for lesser beings. On occasion.
