Happy Hour
It's been a while since Oliver has been in the bar. In fact that's an understatement if there ever was one. So when he goes up to the bar to get himself a drink he's greeted with a little note on the napkin. Asking him to tend the bar for a bit. Why not? It's not like he's not done something of this nature before. So he downs his drink before slipping behind the counter.

Leaning back a bit he can't help but smile. The atmosphere was nice and he was back in a familiar place. Even if the faces weren't familiar. This... this felt like home. So to speak.

Dinah stayed the night here after her party. Two nights, actually, because she's got that room now and she might as well.
And it turned out to be the kind of party you need two nights to recover from.
On the other hand, something new to drink sounds great right about now.
"So how about that fruity screaming fuzzy navel?"

Oliver gives her a grin, "Coming right up." Turning away from her, he makes the drink before turning back to sit it in front of her.
"You look like you're ready to head out to have some fun."
no subject
That doesn't stop her from taking a slow first pull drink, though, after which she smiles. "Thank you."
no subject
"And what kind of work do you do?" He asks giving her a small smile. Made him almost wonder what kind of fun she had to say that she'd had all she could handle.

[OOC: They met here. Though never really talk, talked or exchanged names.]
That has Oliver raising a slight brow, "Did you say in Star City?" Wouldn't he of seen her around then? Unless this was one of those weird... Bar things. People from different universes and all of that.
no subject
"Yeah, just moved in about a month ago. You're from the city?"
no subject
"Star City is my home," he tells her with a smile. "Oliver Queen. Pleasure to meet you." It is a pleasure really. Even if he didn't know who she was.

Dinah stares for a second, not bothering to hide it.
"Dinah Lance."
Just in case that name means anything to him.
no subject
He stares because it's not the Canary he knows. "The Dinah Lance?" Oh, we're sure his reaction is going to get an interesting one out of him. Though it's obvious he knows her or a version of her anyway.
no subject
No, wait.
"Well, except my Mom. And alternate universe versions of me, I guess. That's what's going on here, right? Alternate universes?"
He's very young.
no subject
"That's exactly what this is. Alternate universes. I've already met a few people that were from different verses. And yet they were people I knew." Something he doesn't talk about often. "So what's yours like? Or should we not say just in case?"
no subject
"How did you meet your Dinah?"
no subject
"You have a lot of time?" He asks with a chuckle. "Because it isn't a short story. Not by a long shot." Not when it comes to his own Dinah anyway.
no subject
She holds up her glass to indicate what's keeping her here.
"But there isn't a Cliff Notes version?"
no subject
Yeah, that's how Lucas feels, too. How Lucas has felt in Milliways for years. But now more than ever, it's a place where he can be grounded, rooted firmly in reality.
And he needs something that can do that tonight, as reflection isn't always kind.
The young teen takes a barstool and goes, "Can I please have a hot chocolate? An' can I please have a lotta chocolate in there with not as much sugar? So's it's kinda bitter but still drinkable?"
no subject
Oliver has been coming to the bar for years. He's just not been in it in a while. Which is why he doesn't know who this boy is. He gives a nod before making him a hot chocolate. Something a bit more on the bitter side. Nothing too sweet. When he's done making it, he sits it in front of him. "Let me know how it tastes." It's been a while since he's made hot chocolate for anyone.

He takes a sip, grateful for the earthy taste that meets his mouth. "This's good," he confirms, taking another long sip. He places the mug down and wipes his mouth with the back of his wrist.
"Thank ya very much."
no subject
Oliver can't remember anything or anyone that small. In Star City, Smallville or here. Then again he wasn't actively looking either. "You're welcome. If you need or want anything else just let me know."
no subject
And with a rather sheepish look in his already half-drained mug, he admits, "I'm prolly gonna need another?"
It's about here that his stomach growls.
"And, uh, what's ready in the kitchen?"
