Happy Hour

Sameth is rubbing his eyes as he enters because he's not certain when he last slept. Last night he worked for a while and then today was full of court matters that he had to attend which is why he's in his surcoat and sword. He's not neat anymore because it was a long day but matters coming into place for the Southerlings and he only had to address everyone twice.

The hope of some sleep and then maybe some work on a few ideas he has would have been nice but he can do that later. As he orders a wine, a napkin appears and he sighs and nods before getting out the cocktail book.

"I know, I know," Ellen says. "And I owe him, I owe him a lot. This-" She indicates the forehead injury. "Would have been pretty much a million times worse if he hadn't intervened. I just don't want him to get killed protecting me against something too big for him."

"No, I know. I don't know how much I know that might help since our dogs are hunting dogs are raised for it."

Ellen nods. "I'll have to see what I can do. Maybe I can get him to wear body armor or something- Alyx gave me panniers for him once," she says. "It might help, a little."

"That I could help with, scale mail would work well for him."

"You think?" says Ellen. "I'll bring him in for a fitting next time, if you like."

"Its worth a try, I could make a piece for him to wear around to see how comfortable he is."

"Sure," Ellen says. "What would be appropriate payment?'

"Let's see how it works first and then you can figure out what its worth."

"Fair," Ellen says. "Just wanted to make sure you didn't need any special resources ahead of time."

"No, I don't think I will. I have some armor that I've made that didn't work like I wanted that will work."

"All right," says Ellen. "Thank you, Sameth. I appreciate it."

"You're welcome. I'll bring them with me next time I have a door."
