Winter Wonderland - 12th Night Party!

Father Christmas returns from the mountains this 12th night, leading the chained Krampus and his former captives. Some of them are triumphant, some hurt and limping, some are huddled with their friends who have been searching for them.

Those entering the bar today will find one corner of it decked out in a minimalist theme of white, silver, and blue snowflakes. Warm, enchanted snow drifts down from the ceiling, disappearing before it alights on the floor, but piling up on the window sills and mantle of the fire.

Snowmen dance outside on a glassy floor, circling and swaying in lines. Should one want a fancier change of clothes after an ordeal in the labyrinth, it'll magically be provided at the door.

"Aww. Did you manage to find out what had happened? It came so fast there wasn't much chance to raise the alarm."

"Chase told me some, but he was a bit vague about what took you - 'a big sheep' was about the best I got. Autor saw it, though, and he knew more."

"Oh good. Is Autor all right? I know he worries."

"I think he'll be okay now everybody's back and safe", he offers. "But I'll keep an eye out for him."

"Me too. I've been trying to see if everyone is back." Shufti says. "So I'm keeping an eye on the place."

"If they weren't, we might never know. People come and go from here all the time... but I think somebody mentioned a list?"

"I have a copy, but Enzo isn't on it." Shufti says. "So there may have been more people caught at the same time."

"Oh, no - not Autor's list, I meant the official list the Krampus got hold of."

"I have a copy of Father Christmas' list, which matches the Krampus' one."

"And Enzo's not on that?" He frowns. "Strange."

"Although Chris said that he'd manually corrected that one, and Enzo got snatched taking me, really."

"Maybe that was it. What, was it a naughty list?"

"Chris got it off one of the elves, apparently they got fed up of sorting through files from multiple universes and just dumped everyone on the naughty list. The creepy gifts we got were from her."

"Yeah... I got a picture of my oldest son as a baby. It was taken on the Disc. The God of Borogravia, Nuggan, forbids pictures of living things, so I was frightened. But I know now it was part of the magic."

"Forbids taking pictures? And this elf knew that?"

"If the intent was to be creepy, he must have. In any case, the picture wasn't taken on the Disc; it was Jack as he last looked before we left the Disc."

"...then how could it exist?" he asks, confused.

"Chris said that sometimes they need to pull up a picture of a child so they know who gets which gift. Apparently that's how the magic works, and the elf must have copied it."

"I never thought of it like that. But then, we never really did Christmas much until I was ten."

"It's like Christmas on the Disc. The Hogfather brings presents on the 36th December, I believe."
