There is a hungry vampire in the Bar tonight.

Very hungry.

He is lounging in a corner with excellent view of the room.

Nearby, a redhead in overalls is fixing a very small scooter for a waitrat.

Interesting.

Both the attire and the current occupation.

He walks over and strikes up a conversation, starting with a casual, "That one does not belong to you, I take it?"


He is really tall. And blond. And nicely dressed.

"The rat, or the scooter?" Bonnie asks, spinning the little wheel.

[onceaviking]

"The - scooter," he replies with the kind of hesitant pronunciation that rather gives away that he had no idea that was what it was.

[is_the_motion]

"Little small for me." Bonnie says. "But the rat was willing to pay, and every little helps."

The rat hands her a quarter, and she hands him the scooter.

"Do you want anything repaired?" she asks Eric, hopefully.

[onceaviking]

"No," Eric says. "Not at the moment. But I am about to have a drink and I should like some company?"

It's fairly obvious that the drink would be on him.

[is_the_motion]

"Why thank you. Pint of beer please." Bonnie grins.

She'll pay the nice young man a drink back when she fixed a few things

"Bonnie Murdock." She offers a hand.

He takes the offered hand - and kisses it.
His hand is really big. And cold.

"Eric Northman. Pleased to meet you. "

He flags down a passing waitrat and asks for the usual and a beer.

"Mercy, what cold hands, don't you got a coat?" Bonnie asks.

She smiles at the kiss though. And feels as always the twinge of guilt at the absence of her wedding ring. At the time it got cut off it was that or her finger.

Somewhat less hungry is the young man in Eric's line of sight, painting on a henna design to his slender fingers.

He's no fairy--not the kind Eric would be interested in, but he's also no stranger to vampires.

He's got no interest in the preening rituals of humans.
It does present the young man's neck most alluringly.

There is also something about his scent.

Eric's eyes drift shut as he tries to place the nuances.

It's easy to place some of them; rosemary, sea salt, pomegranate. There are so many notes from all over the place that have varying strengths, but it's clear this young man is very well-traveled.

More than his age would allow, strictly speaking.

And that is always interesting.

Eric studies him. Carefully but not discreetly.

Ganymede's known for a long time how to tell when he's being watched, and the uncomfortable shudder crawls up his spine just before he notices Eric.

"You're staring," he says, glancing up at the vampire. He's strikingly beautiful for a man, though somehow too graceful in motion to be quite real.

"I am," Eric agrees. "I rarely see people who paint themselves."

[the_cupbearer]

"You don't live around women?" he asks lightly, setting the henna cone aside for a moment.

[onceaviking]

"At the moment I am, but she keeps those things to herself."

Jay spots him and watches Eric in return, raising a challenging eyebrow in return.

[onceaviking]

Eric gets up and walk over. He moves very smoothly and quietly, every movement measured and deliberate.

"Good evening Jay," he says. "I hope it finds you well?"

He looks sadly clear headed this time. Oh well, one can hope.

[runningred]

"You never write, you never call." Jay teases, his posture open and friendly as he pushes a chair out for Eric.

[onceaviking]

Eric settles down, folding his long legs beneath the chair.
"People often prefer to keep - liaisons with me discreet as it were. Paper trails are not. "

[runningred]

"Ashamed to be seen sneaking upstairs with a scruffy mechanic like me?" He grins, still warm and teasing. Jay is pretty relaxed about these things. He can be discrete but that's not the same as ashamed for him.

[onceaviking]

"Not at all," Eric replies. "I had a lovely evening. How is your shoulder?"
Not that he really cares, but it is part of the game here.

[runningred]

"You and me both." He shifts his arm. "Still a little stiff but mostly healed. How about you? How have you been?"

"Fine, apart from the attempts at murder," Eric says off handedly.
