Rae's subdued heart lightened somewhat when she came into the bar and saw Cubefall had come around again. It has always been an enjoyable time for her, in the past. And she could use something... happy, right now.

Usually, her choice when it came to reconfigurations was easy. But this year, Rae isn't sure what to choose. They all have something she would be interested in experiencing.

One configuration offers a change in perspective.


One offers an opportunity to step away from the conflicting emotions plaguing her.


One offers strength.


And the last offers... freedom.


It has been an entire week and a half of uncertainty, for Sunshine, and it seems to be continuing into today. Cubefall offers a temporary escape - an offer Sunshine will eagerly accept - but she just doesn't know which to pick. As she considers her options, she idly begins building something akin to a castle out of the Lego bricks she finds nearby.

Come help her choose. Or, help her build her castle.

"Understandable." Too bad, since even in his muted state, he thinks the robot form was pleasing.

"I will admit this was a bit risky. To be something that isn't alive in the conventional sense...suppose something went wrong. Goes wrong. For once, I can't rely on my skills to fix it.

"But that is part of the experience, I expect." He picks up some Legos and begins to manipulate them with ease.

"That's the whole risk of Milliways, in a nutshell," Rae points out. "We're introduced to things beyond our experience. It's amazing, but there's risk there, too."

"In this case, I simply suspect I would enjoy one of the other shapes better than a robot shape."

"Next year, then. I can write up my observations for you and any other potential robots.

"And in the meantime, you can be something else."

"Well, I've narrowed it down from four," she chuckles, looking at the screen. "To three. Picking randomly might be a better bet."

"I could do it for you. Make it more random, since I don't have any subconscious horse in the race." Pause. "No pun intended." Are centaurs horses?
