Some time after this sign goes up, Guppy settles down at the bar, with the List, trying to work out who is still here.

They haven't checked it for a while, he notes, looking at some of the names.

"That would be great, thanks Olivier." Guppy says, smiling at him.

"I'm sure there are ways you could be of assistance... if you don't mind it being a bit gory."

"I am a soldier of the cross. I have been in many battles. Blood does not scare me, sir."

"Okay, if you need help you have to tell us, okay?" Guppy smiles and writes his name down.

"I will," He promises solemnly. "Thank you, Doctor."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Thank you for volunteering." Guppy says. "I gather you know Dr Lecter is definitely not allowed to come back to work for us."

"Is the issue so far beyond conciliation?" He still can't believe that whatever Dr Lecter has done can be so back.

[guppy_sandhu]

"I'm afraid so." Guppy says. "It's a patient safety issue. Dr Lecter has admitted to deliberate malpractice with a patient, so even if he is cleared of the other charges, it would be safer for him not to practice here."

"I am saddened to hear that. I thought him a good and honourable man." He chews his lip. "Forgive me, I must pray on this." He bows again and goes upstairs.

Guppy watches, worriedly.
