Quentin's sitting at the counter with one of the brochures and a pen marking that parts that don't make sense. There are lots of questions marks and use of a few specific words; how?, contract?.

He's eating a sandwich with a soda beside him as he works, looking up sometimes to note who comes in. When he goes back home, he's going to have as much information as possible about Milliways in case he comes back again or doesn't.

His disguise is up, leaving him looking like a fifteen year old boy just one who tends to hold his back rather straight.

Autor blinks. That wasn't exactly the response he expected. "Why are you annoyed?" he asks, genuinely baffled.

"Because not eating enough and resting puts you in a more vulnerable position. I've seen it happen,"

Toby keeps bleeding and then not eating enough and its scary.

"It does," Autor says, though there's no reason for Quentin to be concerned about him, that's for sure. "That said, are you hungry now? I'd like to pay you back for those burritos we ordered sometime."

"I just had a sandwich, but we could have some donuts,"

He's not overly concerned but knowing that he starved himself is worrying. That's something Toby keeps doing when she gets going.

Autor nods, and orders a selection of donuts from Bar, who provides a box of half a dozen assorted. "You know, I've never had a donut," Autor says, nudging the open box towards him.

Quentin looks into the box and grins,

"They're like the place near..um, a friend's near the waterfront. She likes them a lot."

Autor doesn't miss the 'um', and would ask about this mysterious her, but he's sure Quentin would avoid answering. He plucks up a Bavarian cream-filled donut from the box, most apropos, and takes a bite.

"Oh! It has stuff inside it!" he exclaims, blinking.

He's picked up a salted caramel one,

"Mm, yes, I think there's a jelly one in there, the one with all the sugar on it."

"They're kind of like filled croissants, only softer," Autor comments, noshing on his donut. His fingers might get sticky from it, and he frowns at that, though overall he's pleased with the experience. "Are there savory fillings as well, or are they mostly sweet?"

"Not in donuts, bagels have onion and all though they don't have fillings, well they can."

"Interesting," Autor says, eyeing his donut before taking another bite. "I think I prefer croissants--these are too sweet. You can have the rest, I'll only need one."

"Maybe I'll take them home. Try a bagel sometime," He and Raj would finish them off pretty quickly.

"I will," he says, nodding. "I've been told that you can put cheeses on those--and that's interesting." He polishes off his donut. "Should I leave you to your work with the brochure then?"

"No, there's nothing else I have to add to it for now. You can put anything you want on a bagel."

"Oh, they must be like croissants, then," Autor says, nodding intently. "Not too sweet, and a starchy base. I see."

Clearly he approves.

"Maybe I'll order bagels with cheese next time we meet."

"Not really, a croissants flaky and buttery, a good one shouldn't need anything. A bagel's bready."

"You've tried filled croissants, haven't you? They're excellent by themselves, but they're also excellent filled. I should gift you some," he says, fingers itching to open his sylladex.

"Of course, I have, chocolate and almond ones are delicious."

"Chocolate and almond!" Autor exclaims, shocked. "Now that's one I hadn't thought of. That's brilliant, I'll definitely make chocolate and almond next time."

"I haven't had them combined, that would be good. Normally its chocolate or almond."

"Hazelnut would also be quite excellent," Autor says, tapping his chin. He scoops up his notes from the counter and writes all of this down. "And marzipan with apples and cinnamon. Hmm. I should talk to you more often--you give me great ideas."

"I like eating and Toby knows great places to go."

"That makes sense," Autor says, nodding. "Do you spend a lot of time with your aunt, then?"

"When I'm not training, I do."

"Oh?" Autor says, blinking. "Training for what?"
