He falls into a chair with a creak of aged leather and the clink of buckles against wood, this hobo in leather and wool and too many years.
He'll order tea in a minute.
First he's going to enjoy being somewhere Dave isn't. Somewhere Horvath isn't.
He imagined this all being... easier. Or at least more straight forward. And involving fewer duels in bathrooms.

...
Unless their name is Dave.
He can throw fireballs at Dave.
"Better than looking like a slob."

Still, he does take the sweater off to reveal an immaculate blazer and cravat combo. He balls the gray garment up along with his rage.

He looks over what this man is wearing to make sure there's nothing that can be said about his clothes. "Where are you from, anyway?"
no subject
"Initially, currently, or were you hoping for a travel itinerary?"
no subject
He blinks at the question. "Oh. Er. Most people don't world hop here, so initially would be best, and then current, if you don't mind?"

"Ah, so not so much world-hopping, but country-hopping then," he says. Perhaps. "When are you from, in your current locale?"

Rae offers a slight smile as she sets the tray down, the tea within the large glass pot fixed the way she remembers he prefers it. There are two cups with it, and three gigantic cinnamon rolls on a plate.
"Long time, no see," she greets him, glad to see him even if he looks worn out and frustrated.
no subject
"Not on purpose, I assure you." But he'll take one of those cinnamon rolls, once he pours out the tea.

It wasn't the most fun conversation ever. Or even really a conversation. Mostly a shouting match between two intensely stubborn individuals.
He's sure Dave will be back soon.
...
Surely.

But she's catching something now.
"He didn't take it well, did he? What happened?"

Or at least not as good at bending the truth as he seems to think he is.
"That bad, huh?" Rae murmurs, wincing as she nudges the plate of cinnamon rolls over to him. To her credit, saying I told you so doesn't even cross her mind.

Isn't the Prime Merlinian supposed to be taking a stand with Balthazar, not against him?
"Anything I can do?" she asks, then adds, "Besides the obvious, I mean." Cinnamon rolls and tea can only help so much, and generally not in a lasting way.

It would be very loud, and most likely give a new definition to a 'charged' argument.
no subject
Less haste, more speed - that sort of thing.

He already knows that dog won't hunt where Sunshine's concerned, however, and keeps his griping to himself. He'll have some cinnamon roll instead.
