It is early in the morning in at least one time zone.

A giant flatpack hut has been set out ready for the Scouts and helpers to help assemble*, barn raising style.

Able to lift stuff? Able to hold stuff while it is attacked with a nailgun? Able to hold a paintbrush? Able to make cold drinks and bring them to the sweaty builders? There is a role for you!

Once the building is up, they can start on the rest of the playground, but one thing at a time.

There's also a gramophone in one corner of the site, playing some suitably inspirational barn-raising music.

"Yes sir." Almanzo says. "There's some poles for it, all sawed by machine."

"Then we'll have to set them up, then," Autor says cheerfully, searching for the poles and a drill. He finds all the items in short order, and sets one pole up near the swings. "Here, now, we can drill these together."

Almanzo is starting to get a feeling that Autor might not have done stuff like this before.

"I was gonna build an A frame." he says, casually, not wanting to cheek his patrol leader.

"I'm not quite sure how to do that," Autor admits without shame. "Do you join them together at an angle?"

"The poles have been cut at an angle by Mrs Murdock I think." Almanzo says. "So we need to attach the two angles together then make a bar across."

"Oh! All right," Autor says, tightening his grip on the pole. "We can do that, yes. Do you know how to handle a drill? I can do so if you don't."

"I know how to use a hand drill." Almanzo says.

"Well, then, hand drills it is," Autor says, nodding. "I'll hold the poles together and you can drill them. Is that okay?"
