Okay, so the effect might be better if you do your own nail art rather than get some of the Life Support team to try it, but as well as nail art pens there are various face packs, some cucumber to put on your eyes if you like that sort of thing, and so on. If that's not quite up your street, there's some temporary tattoo pens, but don't draw anything on yourself that you can't live with for a few days.

There's frankly not much about Milliways that's designed to appeal to the expectations of a fifteenth century knight. Everything is very clean and bright and there's a lot of plastic and everyone has their own room. But for whatever reason, Harry Percy (whose idea of working through problems is, admittedly, trying to wage literal war upon them) finds this set-up particularly bewildering. What is any of this for?

He picks up a cucumber slice and eats it. At least that seems clear enough.

"Hi there, welcome to life support." Guppy passes the tray of cookies.

At his feet is a baby boy who looks about eight months old, and who has just had his toenails painted in multiple colours, which he appears delighted about.

Hotspur takes a cookie automatically, but his gaze his fixed dubiously on the baby.

"What is life support?" he asks, not looking at all certain that coming to investigate was a good idea.

Guppy follows his gaze, then puts a napkin over the baby's head, which makes him giggle even more.

"It's a group where people can talk about anything that's worrying them, or make new friends, or just try out relaxing stuff." he says. "Don't worry about Gil." he adds, nodding towards the baby. "He won't understand anything you're saying, he's an excellent confidante."

"It matters not, I have naught to day," he says at once, because he is a well-adjusted person, duh. "Are there those have need of such recreation?"

"Quite often." Guppy says. "It's a busy bar. I'm Guppy, nice to meet you."

"Harry Percy," he replies. "From whence come you? And your-- er--"

The word is "baby," Harry.

"Oh, this is Gil, he's my son, he just likes to have his toenails in funny colours for some reason." Guppy says. "My wife did it to him the other day when she was doing the girls' toenails, and he giggled a lot. And we're from Holby, England. How about you?"

"From Northumberland, I." He glances down at Gil again, curious now, and asks, "Your family came with you to this place?"

"Sometimes, we come and go." Guppy says. "I have four kids. My wife can't come here because the door won't let her."

[harryhotspur]

"And so you come and go, and naught changes whist you are away?" Percy is endlessly fascinated by the workings of the doors-- probably because he doesn't have one.

Sinric has discovered the pens and is using them like henna to draw flowing vine designs over his wrist and hand.

"Hi there." Guppy smiles. "Do you want any more colours?"

"Thank you but these colours suit me best." He has picked out golds and browns that match his hair. He admires his hand and the fine vine patterns.

He kneels down to admire the colours on the boy's toes. "Very pretty!"

Gil smiles and claps his hands.

"Itty!"

"His sisters were having theirs done the other day." Guppy says. "And he kept grabbing at it like he wanted his done too, so we did."

His wife is very much of the opinion that girls and boys should be allowed to do the same things, and Guppy has no objection to it.

The flowing cut of Sinric's clothes, his waterfall of gold hair and his beautiful features may be enough to show his ideas on gender are somewhere flexible. "They do suit him greatly. As I'm sure they do for his sisters. Have you many children?"

"Four." Guppy says. "Fry is the oldest, he's six and he comes here on his own now that the door picks him up. Coral is the second, she's four, nearly five. Brooke is two and a half, and Gil is actually ten months, but he was very premature so he should be a bit younger really."

"You are fortunate to have had so many survive. Especially one so small."

Guppy nods soberly.

"It was touch and go with three of them. We were lucky to be in a time of modern technology."

"I have heard they are quite wonderful. Athelstan has been showing me his microscope. It truly is a marvel."

"Oh, there's going to be a lot more to see than that."

"So it would seem from the Library. Alright I can see I have much to learn!"

Clementine saw the cucumbers and arrowed toward them, settling down to press a couple onto her tired eyes.

Sorry, when she sees the word 'spa' she goes into retreat mode.

When she emerges, she'll find a cup of tea next to her chair.

Ooh, tea!

Clementine's not much of one for the drink...but it smells nice and she's thirsty and hey, she needs the rest.

After awhile she removes a cuke and looks around to see who left it.
