Fry is sitting at the bar, with a piece of paper.

His teacher mentioned something today called a 'report'. When he asked what this meant, she said that it's something your parents get at the end of the year to show how you're doing at school.

Fry thought this was quite a good idea, so he's now industriously writing.

Mrs Pink's behaver is quite good and she does not wear the smell to school any more. She calls people dear too much.
I don't think she has lernt much from me but maybe she tried to a bit.'

"She's not a prodigy, she's a terror." Fry says, determined to hold his reputation as the smartest in the household.

"Are the rest of you good at it?" He forgets how many "the rest of you" constitutes.

[fry_sandhu]

"No. Mum's not bad, but I'm not very good, and Coral just kept putting her toy fox in the holes, and Gil's a baby. And Dad managed to hit his ball into the car park."

It's easily done, to be fair.

"They should give a prize for that. Distance award or something."

[fry_sandhu]

"I think they gave him a fine." Fry says. "And told him not to be a plonker."

[gotham_knocking]

"A plonker. I have to keep that one." British English can be fun to use in America.

[fry_sandhu]

"Where are you keeping a plonker?" Fry asks.

[gotham_knocking]

"I mean, I have to remember that word. Britishisms come in handy to confuse Americans." Insert that quote from Shaw about being separated by a common language here.

"American English has lots of different words." Fry says. "But we get lots of American TV."

[gotham_knocking]

"I think we get lots of British. But I never watch much." And Rapunzel never watches much TV, aside from movies.

[fry_sandhu]

"When American tv does British voices they sound really weird." Fry says.

[gotham_knocking]

"I think they hire a lot of Brits and Australians to play Americans now, and it works fine."

[fry_sandhu]

"But when you pretend to be British you think we all sound like the Queen."

[gotham_knocking]

"You mean we all sound snooty?" He says snooty as if the word itself were snooty.

[fry_sandhu]

"Yes." Fry says. "When most British people sound dead common."

He considers.

"What kind of American accent is snooty?"

[gotham_knocking]

"There is a sort of accent that rich people are supposed to have, kind of British and kind of note." And he can't actually do that impression. "And upper class Bostonians who pahk the cah in hahvahd yard." Hard to see if he's imitating JFK or Tom Lehrer.

Fry giggles suddenly. It's funny to hear Knox talking like that.

"You never heard anyone talk that way?" They probably don't show kids film of JFK in the UK, do they?

[fry_sandhu]

"I think there was someone on a tv show Mum watches." Fry says. "About some posh ladies who shout at each other all the time."

[gotham_knocking]

"Did they have Southern accents? Or were they old ladies?"

[fry_sandhu]

"I'm not sure how old they are." Fry says. "Because they all have plastic faces."

[gotham_knocking]

"Then I don't know that show." Sounds like some sort of horror program.

[fry_sandhu]

"I think it's called the Real Housewives."

[gotham_knocking]

"Never heard of it." And for good reason, since the franchise in years in the future, assuming it even happens in Knox's reality.

"It's not very good." Fry says. "Mum says it's an example of how not to behave at parties."
