Jim comes down from upstairs wearing the same plain white T-shirt and jeans he arrived in. And just as he arrived last time, clad in crown, gown and sceptre, so he leaves. He sashays to the door, looks around one last time because he doesn't know when he'll be back, and lifts the crown in lazy salute. And then, gone. The game is on, the curtain's up, and he's not going to miss his cue.
