happy hour
When Cassidy comes down for his daily whiskey, this time he also receives a note on a napkin.
"If it's a bartender you want, luv, you might wanna consider someone else--"
Another note.
Cassidy sniffs, shrugs.
"Alright, then, if you say so."
If she's going to trust him with the inventory, well, that's a big vote of confidence. Besides, he has a huge tab to work off. He'll make the best of it.
HAPPY HOUR SPECIALS
Whiskey
Beer
Tequila, vodka shots
Simple, really.
One scruffy, tattooed secret vampire behind the bar, at your service.
[OOC: If your pup can sense supernatural 'otherness,' they may be able to sense that there's something off about Cassidy, but other than that he presents as human. And please, for now, no other vampire pups; I need to see what canon does with that first. Thank you!]

"Hello, Cassidy. How have you been lately?"
no subject
"'Eeyyy, Sahaal, how're ya doin', mate," he says cheerfully through a cloud of smoke. "I'm alright, just hangin' about. What've you been up to?"
no subject
"About the same. I've spent the last week watching the entirety of Mad Men, that was fun."
no subject
He gets himself his own beer because the Bar didn't say anything about not drinking while bartending.
"How'd you like Mad Men, then?"
no subject
Sahaal takes a pull of his beer, and reaches over to grab a handful of pretzels from a bowl on the bar.
"Personally, I really enjoyed it. Great writing, complex characters and they smoked almost as much as you do. You'd love it."
no subject
He chuckles at his last comment. "I may smoke as much as a conference room full of ad executives, but you'll never catch me in a suit as sharp. I'll check it out, though."
no subject
"Shame, you'd look hilarious in a high-priced suit. Certainly catch people off guard, as well."

When he finds Milliways on one of his stops, a little more tension leaves then he spots Cassidy and smiles, "I'll try a tequila and pour one for yourself. Enla bought it."
no subject
Oh crap, does Cassian know what high-fives are? He hangs there a bit awkwardly.
no subject
"Yes, I was worried that she wouldn't."
no subject
"No, you're supposed to slap my hand, it's called a high-five, a sort of-- celebratory-slash-congratulatory gesture on Earth. Let's try it one more time. Annnd, awesome!" He raises his hand again in hopes for slightly less awkwardness!

"So what'd Enla say exactly?"
He sets out a salt shaker, two shot glasses, and two lime wedges on a napkin, before filling the glasses with tequila. Yes, there's a method to this.

Yeah he's given up on reading, even though he can sort of almost see why Jim thought he should try Maurice; it's tucked carelessly under his elbow. Moving on to Serious Drinks time.

what
"...aye, alright, bring it on."
no subject
A salt shaker, two empty shot glasses, two lime wedges on a napkin, and the bottle of tequila. He fills the glasses with the liquor.
"Right, so, here we are, the proper way to down a shot of tequila. You got your salt, an' your limes. The salt lessens the burn, the lime enhances the flavor. --Still with me?"
There is obviously a method to this, padawan.

"Cool. Been alright, not a big deal. Well. Inasmuch that we're at the end of the universe at a magic bar, but really, I'm okay with that. Can I get you somethin' to drink?"
no subject
no subject
"Well, how's your tolerance? Whiskey, tequila, an' vodka are all pretty strong, with a strong burn, too."
