Drink up, the Helghast Colonel's Happy hour
[Today, the man who refuses to take off his mask with reddish eyes and complete with a gas mask is wiping the bar's counter]
Not sure who talked him into it, but he was providing today's happy hour.
The Helghast Colonel stood in the bar writing down specials for the day.
"Welcome to my day"
Today's specials:
Fireball Whisky
Helghast Special- My own mix
Ludds Blood
The tables seemed to have some sort of theme today, they were covered with a blood red along with black line going through it.

"The... Helghast Special... is quite the mix.. Let's say.. it has it's own kick to it.
1/2 cup (100 grams) granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon (7 grams) coarsely ground black pepper (see Note up top)
4 ounces ripe strawberries, hulled and halved
5 tablespoons fresh lime juice
5 ounces (10 tablespoons) blanco tequila
TO FINISH
1 lime
1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
3/4 teaspoon finely ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Ice
Has all... the kick of the Helghast empire.

"Then I'll have that," Baze says, nodding exactly once. "Sounds delicious. Do you need the mask to breathe?"

"Name's Mael Radec, I am a Colonel of the Helghast Army yet i hold such a high and prestige rank in the Helghast army. My planet is full of dirt and dust and we ... had to adapt due to the ISA... Invaders."

Radec started to mix the drink in the hand as he was talking "Let's say I am Visari's personal bodyguard back home."
"Yes... We call them ISA scum, those humans who took our forefathers land and kicked off the planet to Helghan, our new home. We've had to adapt over time with these gas masks."

They joined... with Earth.
"Let's say that's why I am feared on my planet, not just the looks but what I do."

"I'm more mutated than a...droid, Blaze."
"Depends if you make me mad. However, this place usually doesn't like it if people attack each other for bad things here. I'm holding back at the moment."
[ooc:Radec's sort of mutated a bit under the helmet but that's why he needs that mask to breath.]

The colonel eyes Baze, slightly quiet.

Radec holds his hands behind his back "You ask a lot... of questions, Baze."

He stares at the red on the tables, that's not a comforting color and then at the man, maybe behind the counter and leaves a little space between him and the counter, "Um, could I just get a coffee?"
no subject
"What exactly are you? I've never seen ears like that before."
The Colonel turned to the bar and started to fill the cup of hot liquid and moved it toward the strange man.
no subject
"Daoine Sidhe, what are you?"
no subject
"What am I? I'm a Helghast. Colonel Radec. "

Quentin reaches out for the coffee, moving a little closer to the counter, that's a lot of armor.
no subject
Radec looks at the man who seems to be studying his armor. "Any questions?"
no subject
no subject
"I haven't returned in a long time."

"It's kind of strange, huh?" If Radec could crack a smirk, he probably would of.

The duty doesn't go away but in Milliways, it doesn't press.

"I can't exactly eat or drink because of the mask."
no subject
Maybe not, perhaps that armor feeds him or something.

This is our language. It's a bit different.
"Seems like a endless war at times."

Perhaps its about pride, taking the name of their place of exile or punishment, he's not sure which.

Our forefathers had a huge fight and began a mass exodus toward Helghan. The planet was dirty and disgusting and didn't have the greatest living conditions so we were forced to wear gas masks like I wear now.
We got sick. Anyways, the...planet has amazing natural resources which is the only good thing.
"So the First Extrasolar War started between the ISA invaders and us. We were fighting to get our homeland back."

He feels like he's missing some part of it. Its a common story, land is power.

I worked my way up the ladder until I reached Colonel and then set up the Radec Academy for the training of soldiers and helped to launch the Vektan invasion. I became an advisor to Scholar Visari and bodyguard. Over time, soldiers began to respect me. During the Failed attempt on Vekta, I became the main commander of the Helghast forces. I spent two years preparing for an ISA invasion and also became focused on finding the launch codes for Red Dust, a nuclear weapon captured by us on Vekta."

It sounds like one of those wars that's never going to end.

"Seems like a endless war at this rate."
The bartender sighed if only a bit.
no subject
War is bad enough but to fight until no one's left, that's a terrible waste of life and doesn't serve much purpose.
no subject
Perhaps It might end someday."
no subject
Which is hard, war has an inertia to it, he learned that not long ago.

From what he's said, that's what it sounds like though both planets were settled later. Its been a cause in many a Fae and mortal war.
