[OOM: The Dark Portal is destroyed and the forces of Azeroth must seek shelter on the world of Draenor.]

The Door does not open.

Instead there's a flash of purple light in the form of concentric, oval rings. An older man in dusty blue and silver robes and holding a staff appears at the center of them and for a moment he looks terribly confused. His eyes start to glow the same shade of purple as he looks around, stopping when he spots the Window. The glow fades as his mouth falls open.

Then he grins. "Ha HA! I knew it! Modera owes me a drink!"

"An interesting legend," he muses. "We have nothing like it. Destiny and fate are debated as to whether they exist at all. Certainly no god claims charge of it."

That last is particularly unusual. How would a god be in control of something like that?

"No legends of gods who play games with mortal men? Of how the world was made and where the lightning comes from?" He asks, curious more than concerned. It fascinates him how different worlds give meaning to themselves.

"The only gods who treat mortals as play things are the Old Gods. But no god created the world. The Titans ordered it, if that counts?" He seems confused but also intrigued. "And lightning comes from air elementals, of course."

"Will you tell me about your Titans and your old gods?"

"Of course." Khadgar smiles. As much as he enjoys learning there's also joy to be found in sharing that knowledge.

"The Titans have not been seen on Azeroth for millennia, but when they were there they found it infested by beings known as Old Gods. The Old Gods are Void energies made manifest in the physical realm, monstrous twisting masses of flesh and eyes and tentacles that whisper to mortals of the end of all things and drive them to madness. There were four of these beings burrowed into Azeroth's soil and at first the Titans tried to remove them themselves.

"Titans haven't been seen by any mortal, but the records say they are planetary sized beings. Amun'Thul, their leader, reached out of the sky and simply plucked the greatest of the Old Gods from Azeroth's crust and crushed it. He hadn't realized how deeply the Old God had burrowed, however, and it left a gaping wound weeping arcane power behind. Doing the same to the rest of the Old Gods would irrevocably damage the planet.

"Instead they created the Titanforged armies and Keepers to lead them. They were able to walk on Azeroth without harming the planet and fight to reach the remaining Old Gods. Eventually the other three were imprisoned, still buried within Azeroth's crust but unable to burrow further. Deeming Azeroth safe, the Titans left the Keepers to keep watch and returned to the stars to order other planets."

He finishes off his glass of wine, throat dry. He hasn't made such a speech for a long time.

"Much of that tale is new information, learned when we rediscovered Pandaria and its Titan facilities." The Explorer's League was having a heyday with the new yet ancient structures.

"There are still relics of the Titans to be found? They must be very powerful."

Khadgar nods. "Immensely so. The Titanforged and Keepers are as sentient as you or I, but many try to claim the facilities for their own."

He frowns.

"Usually for ignoble ends."

"Do they fight against those who would claim their power?"

"Usually. Not always. These beings are over tens of thousands of years old, you know." No one is really sure. "Some have gone a little mad."

"Ah, I can see how that would make them quite dangerous."

He takes a sip of his tea. "And may I ask your place in these things?"

"Nothing as grand as Titans and Keepers." He chuckles a bit.

"Azeroth is currently being invaded by an army from another planet and time, the Iron Horde. Today I helped lead the charge to drive them back and destroy the Portal they were using."

"I hope your battle was successful. And few lives were lost." There's a weight of sadness in his voice.

He sobers and looks more like a tired old man.

"There are always casualties in battle. But we were able to free many of their slaves and prisoners and steal ships to flee upon."

"Then there is hope even in loss." Sinric nods, changing the subject a little. "And here, no time passes outside so you can take your ease and rest."

"Thank you." He intends to. There are things he needs to figure out how to do next, like how to track down the Shadow Council and how to convince Jaina to assist the Horde.

Sinric smiles, making a welcome little gestures. "And perhaps learn a little of each other's magics." he offers.

"An offer I would happily take you up on had I not had a very long day."

Khadgar gives him a tired smile.

"Another time?"

"Rest and renew your strength." Sinric nods, rising to give him privacy and space "Till our paths cross again."

"Farewell, Sinric!"
