Dani and Enzo have a fantastic setup in their own worlds, but that doesn't mean Milliways has nothing to offer their relationship anymore. It's still the only place they can be together in their respective natural forms. They're happy together in any form, of course, but every so often you miss that sort of thing.

When they come downstairs seeking hydration (her) and data input (him), Bar presents them with a napkin note.

"Oh! Sure, I'm up for it if you are."

"Of course!"

Hands on the bar top, Dani looks around the room with a grin. "Kinda cool seeing things from this side of the bar," she remarks.

"Did she never have you tend before?"

[ami_imperfect]

She shakes her head. "Nope, never."

[a1enzo]

"Wow. I've done it a few times. Not often. It's pretty fun, though."

There is a simple amusement in wielding the cocktail shaker.

Dani smirks at her husband (husband. The novelty of that probably isn't going to wear off any time soon) and the cocktail shaker.

"So, all we do is take people's drink orders?"

[a1enzo]

"Take 'em and make 'em, until Bar's done with her nap." Enzo grins at his wife (his wife!) and spins the shaker on the tip of one finger, then manages to catch it before it hits the floor, although the cap does fall off. A-heh-heh.

"Sounds pretty straight forward."

She's not laughing at him, really.

Okay, maybe a little giggle.

He smiles sheepishly as he retrieves the cap.

"May I take your order, or do you just want water?"

"Since we're on duty, I should probably stick with water."

Anakin wanders towards the Bar from the direction of the garage (he always checks there first when he enters Milliways, just in case another ship he recognises has appeared). He climbs up onto a bar stool, then grabs a napkin to wipe his hands.

(They aren't actually that dirty, just a bit dusty from tentatively poking at all the strange spaceships and cars.)

"...what's a Shirley Temple?"

"It's a cocktail but it's made without alcohol, so it's okay for kids to drink," Dani explains. "It's got grenadine, 7-Up, ice, and cherries. Our version has peach ice cream, so that it's more like a drink Enzo and I tried on our honeymoon."

Anakin has no idea what grenadine or 7-up might be, though he vaguely recognises that 'cherries' and 'peach' are Earth fruit, and brightens at their mention.

"Okay, astral, I'll have one of those.

"Um -- so you just got married?"

Dani turns and grins at Enzo as she starts to prepare Anakin's drink.

"Sure did!"

Enzo grins back and scoops the ice cream. "A couple weeks ago. Twice."

Anakin manages a small smile at this confirmation. (He also quickly brushes down his jumpsuit while they're both looking away.)

"Congratulations!"

Beat.

"--twice?"

Enzo plops the ice cream gently into the soda.

"Different worlds. Had to get married in both to make it official."

"Oh, okay."

That makes sense. Anakin has learnt enough to know that different planets have different marriage laws.

"Well, um, I hope everything works out."

Bastion's never seen a person quite like Enzo before. He's very obviously non-organic, but they're stumped as to what he could be instead, since even other robots have olfactory and thermal profiles.

They approach the bar and wave hello, then place an order on behalf of the yellow bird on their shoulder. Neither one of them are really equipped to consume the specials. "Dwip zeeooo." // Some seeds and berries for my friend, please.

Enzo might pick up the transmission if he has wireless reception; Dani will almost certainly hear only beeps.

The first version of the 802.11 protocol has only just been released when Enzo is from, alas; his home system doesn’t have Wi-Fi, let alone individual programs from it. He just looks puzzled. Intrigued, but puzzled. “Sorry, I can’t understand.”

The small nautilus which has been exploring the back of the bar, however, floats up to Bastion, examines them in a way which somehow manages to suggest sniffing, and then holds up a tentacle with the name derelictConservationist glowing gently in the air at the end.

Bastion's disappointment about not being understood is immediately forgotten at the sight of the hovering green nautilus. A T-Minus-enabled hovering nautilus. They coo in delight, a sound familiar to basically anyone who's ever seen a cute animal, and retrieve their own T-Minus device from where it's resting on their shoulder. Bastion wakes the device up and holds it out to Minus, not entirely sure what the floating cephalopod is going to do with it but intrigued to find out.

Ganymede has also never seen a creature like Minus before. At least, he's never seen anything with a shell that could fly. He's looking at Minus from a variety of puzzled angles, trying to figure out how it's doing that.

Minus pokes the device and displays derelictConservationist again.

Enzo grins. That'll work. "Minus," he says, "whoami?"

Bastion scrolls through the lengthy ChumpRoll until they get to the correct username, and taps on it to initiate a conversation. Ganymede continues giving Minus puzzled looks and the occasional opinionated chirp as Bastion thumb-types out their messages. If Minus had a more mechanical appearance he wouldn't question any of this, but the program looks organic enough to make him a little jealous that he can't project holograms or hover without moving his wings.

DC: Hello. I'd like to order a serving of seeds and berries for my friend Ganymede here.
DC: I'm a SST Laboratories E54 Bastion unit. You can call me Bastion or E54; either is fine.
DC: I can understand you, but I can't pronounce the sounds necessary for an audio response in the same language.

Minus immediately flies back to Enzo and manifests the chat window.

"Good boy, Minus," Enzo says, stroking his shell. "I'm Enzo, and this is Dani. Nice to meet you. Seeds and berries it is; any particular kind?"

Minus automatically transcribes and transmits Enzo's words, even though Bastion just said it's not necessary. Oh, well, at least they'll have a proper log.

DC: Nothing specific.
DC: Minus is very cute.

Bastion has their priorities in order.

Minus, who can tell when he's being talked about, turns an excited somersault.

"Isn't he, though? Your bird is, too." He checks the chat window. "Ganymede. Am I saying that right?"

He pokes around and finds some seeds of both the sunflower and pumpkin variety, which he pours into a dish along with an assortment of berries, blue, black, and rasp.
