The Cherry Blossoms Vanish, to Return Next Year

The blossoms have been raining from the trees all day long, forming flocks and swirls is pink and white where the wind picks them up.

At some time around midnight, the trees, loose blossoms, stone lanterns, and lakeside pavilion all vanish, leaving the Milliways landscape as it was before.

Gaster sits by the pavilion, watching the blossoms fall. He picks up a fallen one, feeling it between his finger bones.

Growing things were rare in the Underground - Asgore's garden was the one place they truly flourished (Though that was in part thanks to its caretaker.)

He would have loved this.

Gaster hopes he can see something like it, in the timeline when Monsterkind is freed.
