oom + dual ep: a door from wakanda
OOM: The morning after this:
During his first morning as a free man, Bucky speaks with Steve, makes an important call, and does his best to express his gratitude to T'Challa before heading to the lab for a consultation. And then...
"Did you mean what you said last night? About wanting to find a place for a drink, or to go dancing."
Featuring NPC versions of: King T'Challa, Princess Shuri, Okoye, Natasha Romanoff, and Steve Rogers (written prior to Steve's return to the bar).
The first figure to step through the door and into the Bar proper is a familiar one – tall, a little scruffy, shaggy brown hair, neatly pinned sleeve where his left arm would be – though the lightness in his eyes and in the way he carries himself is something new.
So is the woman whose hand he holds as he guides her through the door. She's tall and slim, dressed casually in light pants and a white tank top, and the look on her face is one of such comical surprise it's nearly dismay.
"Holy shit," says Sharon Carter. "You were not kidding."

OOC: After months of OOMs leading up to this point, here we are as Bucky and Sharon enter the bar together! Two pups, two muns, two wildly different timezones. Ask for either one or both. Slowtime is, as always, welcome, especially as we head into a holiday weekend in the States. Ping Lorna or Aspen if you have any questions!

Re: Both!
Re: Both!
Annoyed.
"It's just - she makes me vulnerable."
A beat.
"Literally. And I don't understand why."
Re: Both!
"Are you usually invulnerable? Physically?"
Re: Both!
Re: Both!
"To human weapons, yes," he replies.
"I told her to shoot me in the leg to convince her I was telling the truth about who I am. And she did. And it worked."
He shakes his head.
"It hurt."
Re: Both!
"I can see how that would be a surprise."
Re: Both!
Re: Both!
He huffs.
"It only seems to affect me when she's around. That's why I bring her ge- her little, adorable rascal. I wanted to know if there were any signs of her being celestial."
Re: Both!
Sharon looks back at Lucifer. "Were there? Or is she one hundred percent human?"
Re: Both!
To Lucifer, he adds, "Well, at least you're not having to get used to being as breakable as the rest of us all the time."
Re: Both!
"She seems to be," Lucifer replies. "No matter what the explanation is, I'm sure dear, old Dad has a hand in this though."
The sneer turns his face ugly for a brief second. Then the surface smooths again.
"It was an enlightening experience, but I'd be fine with not having to repeat it."
Re: Both!
"Right," she says, when she's finished coughing. The glance she gives him is both fond and incredulous. "Because you're so breakable."
Re: Both!
Re: Both!
It's said very matter of factly.
Re: Both!
"Maybe she's making you more human, instead of her being celestial."
Re: Both!
"She's got a point."
Re: Both!
"That's just absurd," he says. "It's not like you can catch humanity. It's not the flu."
Re: Both!
"Must be something else, then," Sharon says, easily, and sips at her wine. "How long have you been working together?"
Re: Both!
Re: Both!
"A couple of months," he replies. "Looking enough for her to have seen that I don't lie or make things up. In fact, if we're looking for liars, she ought to meet my brother who is far more loose with the truth than I am."
Re: Both!
Re: Both!
Re: Both!
He looks distinctly put upon.
"He's pretended to be a psychologist do he could get cost with my therapist. So unethical."
Says the being with - different ideas about etics.
Re: Both!
"Sounds that way," she says, easily.
"But I can see why you wouldn't want to go back."
To Hell. Who would?
Re: Both!
“Between that and the thing with the gavel and the judge, dealing with psych-types is complicated in your world, sounds like.”
