oom + dual ep: a door from wakanda
OOM: The morning after this:
During his first morning as a free man, Bucky speaks with Steve, makes an important call, and does his best to express his gratitude to T'Challa before heading to the lab for a consultation. And then...
"Did you mean what you said last night? About wanting to find a place for a drink, or to go dancing."
Featuring NPC versions of: King T'Challa, Princess Shuri, Okoye, Natasha Romanoff, and Steve Rogers (written prior to Steve's return to the bar).
The first figure to step through the door and into the Bar proper is a familiar one – tall, a little scruffy, shaggy brown hair, neatly pinned sleeve where his left arm would be – though the lightness in his eyes and in the way he carries himself is something new.
So is the woman whose hand he holds as he guides her through the door. She's tall and slim, dressed casually in light pants and a white tank top, and the look on her face is one of such comical surprise it's nearly dismay.
"Holy shit," says Sharon Carter. "You were not kidding."
Tinytag: Sharon Carter
OOC: After months of OOMs leading up to this point, here we are as Bucky and Sharon enter the bar together! Two pups, two muns, two wildly different timezones. Ask for either one or both. Slowtime is, as always, welcome, especially as we head into a holiday weekend in the States. Ping Lorna or Aspen if you have any questions!

She doesn't pay the woman at his side any mind; all her attention is on that tall drink of water and those pretty blue-gray eyes of his. She leaps to put her arms around his neck, certain he'll catch and spin her like he always has before, and kisses him fondly right on the mouth.
"Well, hey there, Sarge," she says, grinning as she pulls back. "Where the hell you been hidin' your handsome self, huh?"
no subject
-- but not enough time to warn anyone of anything, or to evade the friendly kiss she plants on him.
Somehow he manages not to wince. "Hey, Zinda," he says, with a smile. "I've been out for a bit with a medical thing, but first --"
He turns to Sharon, and the look in his eyes is both apologetic and hopeful.
"-- I want to introduce you to someone important. This is Sharon. Sharon Carter. Sharon, meet Zinda Blake, a good friend of mine."
no subject
Except then it turns out to be a woman who kisses Bucky right on the lips and every thought in her head evaporates in a sudden flare of white-hot rage.
Bucky turns to her, apparently trying to make some kind of explanation, but there's cherry-red lipstick printed onto his mouth and Sharon is distantly aware of a high-pitched shrieking hum reverberating through her head, like a screaming tea kettle. She arches her eyebrows at him, her voice chilly as a winter wind. "Oh, friend, huh?"
no subject
Zinda looks over at the other woman, pleased as punch; the frostiness doesn't bother her a bit. "Well! It's nice to meet you, Sharon Carter! I've heard some about you, and hey – "
She elbows Bucky affectionately in the ribs as the penny drops. "Aren't you pretty? Sarge, that's a good-lookin' gal pal you got there."
There's not a drop of jealousy in her voice.
no subject
At Zinda's observation, he can't help but smile. "She sure is."

To Sharon, he says, "Remember I told you about the baker with the cinnamon rolls?"
no subject
That's to the woman approaching, and Sharon grins again. "They must have been amazing, considering he's still talking about them seventy years later."
no subject
Bucky is absolutely getting a well-telegraphed-beforehand but still fiercely glad hug from Sunshine, because her friend came back and is smiling with a lightness she hasn't seen on his face in... well, seventy-plus years, depending on how you count.
"Oh I'm glad to see you again."

Both?
"Well, I'll be damned," a tall, impeccably groomed and very sharply dressed Lucifer says, as he makes his way over.
"I know I said you just needed to run a comb through your hair but I did not expect you to be able to score with someone clearly out of your league. Well done you," he says to Bucky with a brilliant smile.
He's paying him a compliment!
He'd been down when he arrived but after talking with people he is feeling much more like himself. On top of things.
(He's not. He's also compartmentalizing but hey, aren't we all?)
He turns to face Sharon and beams at her.
"Hello. I'm Lucifer Morningstar. And it's a pleasure to meet you."
He sounds British. Posh.
And his smile is bright and affable.
"I'm glad you've sorted him out. I was beginning to get a bit worried."
Boundaries. Indoor voice. Other people's own business.
Never heard of them.
Both!
Turning back to the newcomer, she offers her hand to shake. Her grip is firm. "Sharon Carter," she says, grinning at him. "Nice to meet you, too. So, you guys are..."
She turns to Bucky and arches her eyebrows, inquisitive. "...pals?"
Re: Both!
Re: Both!
His grip is just the right amount of firm and the skin on his hand is smooth. His cuticles hint at manicures and oil treatments.
He looks at Bucky, when she asks him and maybe, just maybe, Lucifer had been a bit - not worried, he never worries, but - if the rot had spread, had seeped in here too, had made people distrust him. He'd have hated that.
So Bucky's introduction makes him grin widely. (Relieved).
"I do. LUX. It's an amazing place. You'd love it."
And no, he doesn't know her, but obviously she would. Everyone would. It's LUX.
His clothes are obviously expensive, as is his cologne.
Business must be good.

Both, pls!
Mostly unassuming; small and whipcord fit.
All black (skinny jeans, combat boots), except for a white tank top with crisscrossing-braided straps about an inch wide, and a (near jarringly out of place) delicate-looking gold necklace with three small white stones separated across it. Hair up in a bun, and her black workout gloves still on, since the door grabbed as she'd been leaving the cargo bay and her no-options-ever morning workout.
"Water this morning, if you don't mind."
Then, "Room temperature." Beat. "Some toast, too."
Sara gives a cursory glance to the woman on the stool to one side. She doesn't know her, but she knows the look, and Sara offers politely enough. "First stop completely outside of time and space?"
no subject
She looks... competent. And then some. "For me, yeah. For him – "
Sharon tips her head towards Bucky, a laugh in her voice. "Not so much."

"Sara Lance." In case that last part matters to either of them. She hadn't been expecting it to matter with Dinah. For there to be fourth version of her sister, and this time one that didn't even have a little sister. She'd rather start with it than be surprised again.
"Seems to be a few people like that here. Coming in consistent."
To double-check. "But just this location, right? Here, in this Milliways?"
It's just a fact check. She's already assuming.

If there is room? Otherwise consider him scenery
Elrond has spent time in the library and is now making his way to the bar for some tea.
He sees Bucky and lifts a hand in greeting, smiling.
He is tall, with long, dark hair, and long, statuesque robes in the shades of an evening sky. And his eyes are bright, lit with the light of stars.
There’s room!
no subject
"Another friend?" she guesses, and gives Bucky a crooked, amused smile. "You're pretty popular here, aren't you, Barnes?"
no subject
"Well met," Elrond says, encompassing the both of them in his greeting.
"You look well." And he is clearly glad to see it, his smile warm.
"Lady." Sharon gets a light bow, elegant as if he was still at court.

Both please!
Both it is!
She elbows Bucky and tips her head towards the slightly rumpled man who's watching them. "Another admirer of yours?" she teases.
"I had no idea the competition was so fierce."
no subject
"What makes you think he's not admiring you?"
no subject
No matter. John Constantine recovers easily from most everything.
He gathers his drink, cigarettes, and ashtray, and makes his way to Sharon and Bucky. "Mind if I join you, lovelies?"
