Abigail is brave enough tonight to go down to the bar. Seems she's done a bit of drinking up in her room. She doesn't look too great. But...she's downstairs. Meaning she's...not too bad. She orders a beer. And some pizza. She'll need some help to prepare herself if certain people show up in the bar.

"What? What the fuck! That's bullshit. And she must be one sneaky ass bitch to have seen it without me noticing her watching us...mother fucker. Dammit Doc, I'm sorry."

She shakes her head. "So in one night I fucked over two friendships. Great."

She says nothing for a moment. "God it was like a two second fucking kiss! And she dumped you? You didn't even instigate it! It was all me! Let me at her, I'll tell her exactly what I think about all of that."

"Don't worry about it. I can't be bothered with it anymore. Anyone who goes off on one like that for a drunken mistake is simply not worth the effort."

"And... you didn't fuck up our friendship."

He smiles warmly.

"Yeah well I didn't get naked with you. And you aren't another girl." She shakes her head, then throws it back to chug the remainder of her beer.

"Hm. Yeah... I heard about you and Pol," he replies matter of factly. "I didn't realize you swung both ways."

"Neither did I! I don't want to! And...God...then she wants me to go back with her and fucking sleep in her bed after I had us stop and...hell Doc. I think she likes me and..."

"Calm down... Polly's a nice girl. She'll understand if you don't feel the same way."

He helps himself to some pretzels.

"First time then huh? Any good?"

"I feel fucking gross now so if it was good it's overshadowed by ick. God, I just want Miguel to fucking come back. Not like he'll ever forgive me."

She fights the urge to hurl the bottle against the wall. "I'm so in love with him...and I really don't want to be."

"Hm, sorry about that."

"So, you had a good time with Polly, and you didn't want to. You're in love with Miguel, and you don't want to be. Is there anything you do want?"

"Fucking get the hell out of this place and never have come here in the first place. That's what I want. But I don't get that opportunity. Because being here...it hurts. And back home when it hurts I can go kick vampire ass and shoot things and everything's fine. Here? I can't."

"I know what you mean. I'm sick of being hurt, or hurting other people. I need a break."

"You know... it's possible you might be able to leave here to go to other worlds. I tried it last night with Meg—the ballerina girl—and it worked."

"It's not home, but I'm sure you can find someone here who has some vampires in their world. I think Meg mentioned there were some in her's one time."

"I don't know a Meg...and...and I'm afraid to leave because what if he comes back and I'm not here?"

She seems more pissed as she says this. "God I'm fucking pathetic, do you realize that?"

Indy scratches his head.

"You aren't pathetic, but that's quite a dilemma."

"You could leave him a note? And some people find that time travels faster in other worlds than it does here. You may only be gone for a few hours to anyone who is here."

"Why can't he just come home? I mean...back. He is home...why did he have to leave me that damn note? Who fucking does that, Doc? Who fucks with people's heads that way?"

"Um, dunno," Indy says distractedly, thinking how a note didn't seem that bad. He hadn't left Marion with as much all those years ago.

"If he loved me he coulda had the fucking balls to say it...not write it down and dissappear! And now it hurts. If he'd just left it wouldn't have hurt...but it hurts now..."

"I'm sure he'll be back. Why leave a note otherwise? Just be patient."

"I would come back," he adds in an effort to comfort her.

"Yeah well...I'm sick of it fucking hurting all the time. I have enough to hurt I didn't need this too. And I wish I'd never met him and he'd never shown me that things could be okay and not so painful...only to just leave and make it worse and yeah he said he'd come back but maybe he won't and maybe he just can't. Maybe he's stuck back home and will never come back."

Her jaw is set and it's obvious she's trying very very hard not to break down.

Indy looks a little helpless, wondering if a hug would be appropriate. "Well, I don't know the guy. But he sounds genuine and I'm sure he's trying to get back."

"Um... in the meantime, you can hang out with me anytime you like. Maybe we could go kill some vampires together, or at the very least, you could teach me some of those moves you've got. And let me shoot that bow of yours."

"No one touches my bow. No one. I string it, I fix it...all of it by myself. It's been touched by one another person, the person who made it. No. But if the bar'll give you one I'll teach you how to use it."

He pouts a little. "Fair enough, I guess. Weapons are personal."

With a dismissive sniff Indy pours some more coffee.

"Like I said, I'll teach you, you just can't play with mine. And apparently I need to learn how to not play with other people's things. LIke other people's men. I'm still pissed at your ex girl about that bullshit."

"Don't be. I'm just glad it all came out when it did. I'll miss her, but it saved me some bigger upset later on. I'm damned if I'm going to have my friends play second fiddle to someone who can't even be around that much."

"And... by the way, it was more like three seconds. And very nice they were too."

"I've practiced a lot." She shrugs. "Maybe I need to go find some random guy to screw. That's the thing that makes me forget. Of course then I just feel even worse after."

"Yeah. Not sure I'd recommend that, and... I'd steer clear of Raph as well if I were you. His girl's not one to get on the wrong side of."

"I think I'm gonna keep myself off the booze and try not to do anyone, um... anything random for a while either."

He observes the look she gives him.

"Yeah, I know, good luck with that Doc."

"I wasn't hitting on Raph! I swear to fucking God I wasn't! And his girl...his girl isn't someone that needs to meet me. ever. Because if she does she's gonna end up killing me. And maybe that wouldn't be so bad...and maybe both of us should swear off random sex for awhile."
