Liam walks in, once again with Megan sitting on his shoulders.

It may be noted that he's watching where he walks, and he doesn't put Megan on the floor just yet.

"You're right. What did you do for yours?"

"Oh, mine was a registry office do. Pretty typical, really."

"I almost wish we were doing that. Don't like people to make a fuss."

"Oh, shush you. You know nobody here'd let you get away with that."

He rolls his eyes slightly, but still smiles.

"Oh, trust me, I know. David and Amadeo double-teamed me with big brown eyes."

"It'll be nice to have the ceremony, though. Who's doing the honours?"

"No officiant, but David is our Best Man."

"No officiant? So it's just a matter of you two saying your vows?" Liam asks with a smile.

"I think so. Suppose I'll find out tomorrow."

He looks a bit sheepish.

"You'll be fine", Liam reassures him.

Megan finishes her cereal and starts using the spoon and bowl as a drum.

"I hope so."

He grins and pats Megan's head.

"I see that the whole family is in the band."

Liam nods half-seriously.

"She sings, too. Sometimes."

"Do you sing, Meggie?"

He grins at her.

She nods, glancing at Liam, who gives her an encouraging nod of his own. So she starts to sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".

He grins and claps for her.

"Brava. That was lovely."

She giggles and claps in delight, bouncing on her stool.

"You must be very proud, Liam."

"Always", he says softly, reaching out to ruffle Megan's hair.

"Is there anything I can do to help you and Charlie tomorrow?"

"Er... I think we're set, actually. We've been practising."

"Do you want me to hire Gretchen to help Claire with Meggie and Seth during the ceremony? She'll be there anyway."

"Um. Val offered - not for the wedding, in general - but if Gretchen's going to be there, she may as well. Have I met her?"

"You might not have. She's sort of quiet. Wee teenager with long brown hair."

He holds up his hand to indicate height.

"But Val can come if that's who your family is comfortable with. I'll still pay since it's my fault that you and Charlie will be tied up."

He smiles.

"Well, we'll see", Liam answers, smiling. "Oh - Alanna wants to come along and introduce herself, if that's okay? She says she's been wanting to meet you, since you're both on staff."

He nods and smiles.

"Anyone from Milliways is welcome to come. Milliways is how we met. And we're in a public space anyway."

He hands Meggie a red lolly.

"Oh, and there's a bachelor party tonight. Bernard said we could take over a booth and drinks would be on the house."
