At some point this morning, a little six-year-old sneaks out of the infirmary, where she decided to sleep last night.

She's in the same outfit as yesterday, and her hair could use a good brushing and being pulled back again, but she's cheerfully sitting on a barstool eating chocolate chip pancakes and drinking chocolate milk.

She's only here for one more day, folks, chat with her while you can!

[ooc: Once again, we have Princess Sarah Marilla Lucy Pevensie Blythe, better known to Bar patrons as April Cornwell. She's gonna be leaving sometime tonight, before grown-up April comes back from her trip, so tag before she leaves! Slowtimes are love if you can't thread now and just want a placeholder. ^_^]

Ex-hellraiser rockstar in the bar, with one daughter on his shoulders and the other in his arms, not being up to walking or balancing on her own yet.

He gets them a table and drinks, and looks around for someone to talk to.

Brian's in one of the booths, head hanging off the seat and long legs stretching up the wall. He's having Fun With Pens, today! The rubber around his trainers is decorated with weirdly menacing smiley faces, the left knee of his jeans has the lyrics from the theme tune to Bucky O'Hare, and he's currently working on a design around the base of his left thumb. Kinda like a snake or something, although his artistic skills could be better and it appears to be eating its own tail...

It'd be nice if it were a marker. That way you could kinda excuse the weird positioning and the singing about toad-stomping. But nah - it's a biro. It's just Brian.

The door opens, letting in suburban sounds, and there's a few familiar faces--and a new one.

The Pace family has a new arrival.
[identity profile] youalleverybody.livejournal.com
Liam comes in, Megan in tow, and smiles when he sees the bar.

"Finally, it works when I have time."

[OOM: The ceremony.]

And now for the fun part.

Now is the time when for celebrating. For dancing and laughing and congratulating.

Out by the lake there's tables and chairs and food, there's music and room to dance, and--what do you know--there's a newly married couple looking to share some happiness.

[ooc: usual party rules apply.]

The Pace family re-enter the bar from Antar, all dressed up in their wedding clothes. Liam is carrying Megan, while Karen and Charlie follow a step behind, talking quietly.
[identity profile] youalleverybody.livejournal.com
Liam and Karen walk in, Megan between them holding onto both their hands. All seems to be going well for them, from their smiles.

Come say hi.

The front door opens, and through it walks an old man who may or may not look familiar. To many, however, the annoyed drawl with which he calls over his shoulder is unmistakable.

"... dammit, woman! I'm seventy-six years old, and if I don't feel like chokin' down those horse pills today, guess what? I don't gotta!" He slams the door behind him... and only then takes a look at his surroundings.

"Well, I'll be damned. Didn't think I'd lay eyes on this place again."

Ladies and gentlemen, James Ford is back for one last round.

He walks over to the bar, the sudden spring in his step belying his age. "Hey, babycakes. How's about a Jack and Coke, for old times sake?" Instead of a drink, however, a copy of a certain notice appears.

"Damn." He glances up at the sizable debt still listed on his tab. "Double damn."

Grumbling, James fishes out his pocket, pulls out a rather large roll of cash (James never did trust banks), and lays it on the bar. "Here. Happy now?" As the money vanishes, he looks over at his tab again... and notices that, while very small, it still isn't quite cleared. "Dammit, that's all I got on me!"

If a bar could give disbelieving looks, it would be now.

"Fine. I hope you choke on it." James unclasps a gold watch from his wrist and lays it where the money had been. On the back of the watch is engraved the words "To Lt. Jackson, the best damn cop on the beat. From your friends in the 13th Precinct." Old habits die hard.

The watch vanishes, clearing the tab, and a Jack and Coke appears.

"Thanks," the old man grumbles as walks over to his old booth.

There is a conglamoration over by the fireplace.

Charlie has given Karen, Megan and Jack their presents from India. Jack is now wearing his--an embroidered cotton shirt, green, of course--as is Karen, wrapped up in a pashmina against the spring chill. Megan is playing with her Krishna puppet, laughing with delight as Chris makes it bow and dance.

The grown-ups, though are having a far more serious conversation as Charlie tells Karen and the gods about the strange boy he met the night before. Reading in a nearby armchair, Boromir is pretending not to listen--he's not very good at it, though.

[ooc: multi-pup post. tag one or tag all.]

Liam comes in, again with Megan, and leads her over to the Bar to get them both a drink and snack.

Lærke is trying to sit daintily in a chair. However, this is difficult when one's feet do not touch the floor. So instead there is squirming and sighing, twisting and kneeling on the chair, flopping back down, and looking just generally bored and restless as she watches the Bar crowd.
This is one little girl who never heard of getting candies on Easter. Who wants to be the first to break it to her?
[identity profile] youalleverybody.livejournal.com
Liam wanders in, smiling, with Megan and heads for the Bar to get them both some breakfast.

There's a pretty Rohirric princess sitting by the fire, singing quietly to herself. She doesn't care that last time she sang she got into a nasty argument, if she wants to sing, she's going to. Listeners are welcome, even if you don't like it.

Pointyface inna booth.

Hey, it makes a great conversation starter.

Cordy's attempts at domestication are paying off - that's root beer he's drinking, not the real thing.

Here's a sweet sight: brother- and sister-in-law having tea and a chat by the fireplace while Neice plays at their feet.

I bet you didn't know Daisy Adair could play the piano, did you?

... well, her mun didn't either, and had to check a couple of canon resources to be sure.

But, lo and behold, Daisy Adair can play the piano, and is currently doing so!

To Ben Folds' 'Lullabye.' )

She's very fond of the song -- even has her eyes closed as she plays it.

So you'd probably scare her to death (again) if you poked her.

[ooc: "Okay. Let's go see Uncle Charlie."]

The front door opens to a wee girl who's been to the bar many times before . . . and a woman who has not.

"See, Mummy?" Megan Pace says gleefully, as Karen Pace looks about in wonder and confusion.
[identity profile] youalleverybody.livejournal.com
Liam and Megan come in again, for no particular reason, but why not?

They head to the Bar, Liam lifting the little girl onto a stool.

1 (one) bassist with a bit of a head cold
1 (one) piano with perfect pitch
1 (one) holiday about being in love

Stir.

In other words, Charlie atta piano singing love songs rather raspily.

Liam hasn't been in the bar for a week or so, but he's here now, and Megan's with him.

Old friends and new are always welcome.
[identity profile] youalleverybody.livejournal.com
Liam comes in, smiling and leading Megan by the hand. She's in a party dress and a plastic tiara and practically glowing.

It's someone's third birthday today.

Come say hi!

Cywyllog had the boys outside earlier this afternoon, where much fun in the snow was had. If you listened closely, you may have heard the giggles and the almost incessant "Mama, look!"

Currently, though, all three are back inside and curled up by the fire, Cywyllog in the middle with a boy on each side. Tea and warm milk was in order.

Company is welcome.

Liam comes in, with Megan, and looks around for Charlie.
