David enters the bar carefully. Asks the bar for a pint of Guinness. Makes his way to the couches and sits, carefully, on a cushionpile.

He dozes lightly. Go poke him.

Liam grins back.

"Hey. This, as I'm sure you've guessed, is Megan."

He nods, and looks down at Megan, sitting at his knees with a sunshine smile on her face.

"Pleased to meet you, Megan," he says, and holds a hand out to her. "How are you?"

Megan eyes his hand uncertainly, then grabs it.

"I good. How you?"

He considers the cushion pile below him.

And the small child.

"I'm good. So, who's this big tall fellow there?"

He looks to Liam with a smile.

~~And the mun is cackling evilly over here...~~

"Daddy!" she announces proudly.

~~It goes well with your evil nature, does that cackle, my dear.~~

He grins. "Oh is he now? Well, did your daddy bring you here, or did you bring him?"

She has to think about that one.

"Um..."

He laughs. "A tough question, yes? Well, Megan, I think you probably brought your daddy here. Have you seen your Uncle Charlie again yet?"

~~David ignores the fact he's still yet to tell Megan his name, assuming that Liam has done so.~~

She nods, beaming.

"Seth."

"Oh yes, your little cousin Seth. He's a cutey. Did you get to hold him?"

David smiles.

~~This is almost better than kitty therapy.~~

She pouts.

"No hold."

"Not just yet", Liam cuts in. "Maybe when he's a bit less fragile, since by the time she's older, he'll be too big to hold."

"Aww," David pouts at Liam. "Spoilsport."

He grins.

"He is a bit small just now, but you'll get to hold him all you want when he's a tiny bit older."

Megan considers this offer seriously, and nods.

He smiles and touches her head gently.

"So what do you do when your daddy's not bringing you here? Where do you live?"

"'Stralia."

He laughs. "Nice and sunny and kangaroos?"

She nods solemnly.

That gets him grinning. "You know, I've never seen a kangaroo for real? You're very lucky."

Megan suddenly breaks out into a bright smile and starts doing a kangaroo impression.

Liam watches her, trying very hard not to laugh, and sits down next to David.

He laughs, and leans against Liam a little. "She's a darling, Liam."

Liam grins, watching her proudly.

"That's my little girl."

He touches Liam's arm.

"You've done a good job. I don't think I've seen sunshine like that in a while."

Liam turns to look at him, grin softening to a true smile.

"I like to think so, yeah. She's always been a happy kid, though."

He smiles.

"Comes from having a happy family, I assume."

Liam nods.

"If I'm giving her that... I win."
