*Meg skips merrily into the bar.

Yes, she really does. A certain something has put her in a remarkably good mood. Could it be the grungy-looking thoroughly disgruntled man in the tutu over there? Nah.*

"I can imagine that," she says with an answering grin. "And I'm sure it's only a matter of time before my luck runs out. So who is it?" Her head tilts curiously.

My best friend, *Meg explains.* Christine. From the Opera House.

It's - unnerving.

"I'd say so. Is she adjusting well?"

From what I hear, *Meg says wryly,* she fainted on arrival. So. Maybe not. I haven't actually seen her, myself.

"Hmmm. Hate to say it, but I can understand her reaction. She'd probably enjoy seeing a familiar face though."

*Meg nods.* Add to that the fact that her fiance occasionally shows up here -

"She should be in good hands. Provided she learns to cope in ways other than fainting." Sara grins for a minute.

"I was attempting to dance earlier..I think I should probably invest in a refresher course. I've forgotten a lot."

*Meg cocks her head.* I could probably give you some pointers, if you like - there's already a girl around here that I'm helping train, sort of like you, she gave it up a while ago and wants to pick it back up now.

"That'd be nice. I started with stretching and going through the positions at the barre. But beyond that, I'm rather hopeless."

*Meg looks around, and blinks.*

Goodness - you actually got a barre in here.

[OOC: Running for food, back soon!]

She shrugs. "I'm not sure how--it just appeared."

ooc: okay!

*Meg makes a friendly face at Bar.* You never gave me a barre - I always used to just practice out back. *She grins.* But this'll work much better.

Sara laughs. "Maybe it just likes me. Okay, so, where do we start?"

All right -

*Meg is suddenly all business.* First you'd best show me what you know, now, so I know where to start.

[ooc: I'm not an expert at ballet myself, so please bear with me.]

Sara walks to the barre, goes through her warmups again, and begins rehearsing the first five positions she was taught.

[OOC: Nor am I. Faking is fun! *beams*]

*Meg eyes her, nodding from time to time.* Okay - your basics are pretty sound, but you need to tighten them up a bit - third especially is pretty sloppy.

Sara nods. "I was noticing that earlier." She moves to the center of the dance floor. "Basic choreography for starters?"

And there is a Violet, in a tutu. "Can I join in?" She asks, worried about being told no.

"Hi..." She offers to the girl she doesn't know.

*Meg grins.* 'course, Vi! Vi, this is Sara; Sara, Violet. Sara's picking up ballet after a while too, Vi.

"Sure! Hi," Sara says with a smile.

"Hi. Just...pretend I'm not here. I'll just listen and be quiet...don't worry."

Sara smiles reassuringly. "You don't have to worry about that, Vi. I'm working from the beginning myself."

Moving back to the center of the floor, Sara begins doing a routine she'd learned 15 years earlier, one called "Birds in Flight." Her movements are slightly off-beat, some of her turns are shaky.

Okay - freeze.

*Meg goes over and positions her arms firmly.* Okay - hold them. Like that. Vi, you want to try this position too?

Sara adjusts her position accordingly, turning her head to give Vi an encouraging smile.

"Sure..." Violet moves over carefully, looking at what Sara was doing and then taking the position Meg is showing her. She bites her lip nervously.
