"Oh, I'll be all right," she assures her, waving a hand, "I know how to take care of these things, even if I can't make them just go away." She holds up her cup. "Would you like some tea?"

*Meg manages to push away the automatic face she makes, and smiles cheerfully instead.* Oh, no - I've got my coffee cup. But thanks!

"All right, then." She takes a sip. "How have things been with you lately?"

*Meg grins.* Pretty good - I got Sawyer over there in a tutu. *She jerks a thumb in his direction.* Someday he'll appreciate what I did for him.

She looks, raising an eyebrow. "Are you giving him lessons, then?"

Lessons, *Meg says cheerfully,* in how to deal with ballerinas.

She nods, sipping. "Since there seem to be several here, I think that would be a useful lesson."

Yes, the joke has gone soaring over her head. ~~It's not difficult, given how short she is.~~

Of course, *Meg adds brightly,* I wouldn't mind giving him lessons. But somehow I think he'll end up turning them down.

"Men do seem less inclined to learn that sort of thing," she agrees.

"Do you ever perform in the bar, Meg-san?"

*Meg considers.* Well - I've danced in the bar. But dancing and performing aren't quite the same.

She nods. "Perhaps you could sometime. I would like to see that."

*Meg looks curious.* I wonder - could you get to my time? My Paris, I mean?

"I don't know. I would be willing to try."

Well, *Meg says, with a grin,* if you could, you could see a real Opera. Stage, costumes and all.

Her eyes go wide. "Really? Sugoooi!"

*Meg giggles.* I guess that means you'd like to?

"Oh, very much!" She mentally adds another invitation to the list. Three in one week- she's becoming quite the socialite!

Awesome. *Meg beams.* Next time we've got a performance, you're definitely coming to see it.

"Oh, thank you!" She bows, grinning. "That's so very wonderful of you!"

No, it's selfish, *Meg says, with a giggle.* I just want to show off my crazy ballerina skills to all my friends, is all.

"But if you're so good, it's like doing a service to people, because you show them something beautiful." She replies, smiling. "I only wish I had that kind of talent- all I can do isn't very good any more."

Don't you dare say things like that, *Meg says, with a scowl.* You're a wonderful person and you can do loads of stuff I can't do, so if you start putting yourself down I'll have to - I dunno, dump tea on your head, all right?

She cowers, smile frozen. "I- I didn't mean to upset you!" she quickly says, "It's just that my talents have been surpassed so long ago..."

*Meg shakes her head firmly.*

Doesn't matter. Don't you dare think ill of yourself, all right?

*Meg is Fierce!*

"A-all right..." She smiles placatingly, sweating a little. "I'll try not to do things like that anymore..."
