There is a Stanton boy in the bar - no, it's not the usual one.

He's beginning to be able to deal with this quite well, by now, so he simply shrugs good-naturedly and heads over to take a seat at the bar and watch the chaos.

"No, look, you're totally not a spaceship," James protests. "Spaceships are made of - metal. And all that."

She nods. "I am! I'm like this now because being a space-ship indoors is hard on the ceiling!"

James pokes her cautiously.

"So - the toddler is a hallucination. Type thing."

She giggles at the poke. "No, I change shape!"

James snatches his finger back at the giggle, as if she is going to bite it.

"Oh.

Well, that's. Useful. Um."

He doesn't smell like a carrot. He will not be bitten.

"What's your name?"

"I'm James," James says cautiously. He does not say Stanton lest his name and number is taken to Infernal Alien Police.

"It is a great pleasure to meet you, James-san!" She beams at him.

"It's nice to meet you too," James says, still cautious, but Trained Up to Be Polite.

She beams at him. "Yay!"

James says: polite smile at the crazy toddler spaceship thing.

"It has been nice meeting you, James-san!" She waves and toddles off.

James smiles weakly after her and breathes a sigh of relief that the spaceship-thing didn't turn into a dragon and eat him.
