*OR DOES IT? Tea is more logical than you know.

Meg blinks.* Who has?

"The baby mice," says Anthy, happily.

She doesn't really listen to Meg, you know.

*This comes as no surprise, really.*

Oh! You have baby mice?

*Meg is ready to be diverted.*

"No, I found them in the bar earlier today." She beams. "They're just starting to grow fuzz."

Awww! *Meg melts.* Where are they?

"They're sleeping," Anthy says sternly.

All right, *Meg says obediently.* Can I see them sometime?

"Of course, if you like." She beams again, because: baby mice. "They're adorable. So tiny."

Do you know where their mother is?

"With them, I hope. They'll die, otherwise." Anthy bites her lip.

*Meg looks worried.* They're not old enough to survive on their own?

Anthy shakes her head. "They're still young enough to nurse. They need their mother."

Oh. *Meg looks crestfallen.* Well - she's probably still around . . .

"I hope so . . ."

Anthy looks worriedly at the crack in the wall where the mice live.

They're gonna die, of course.
