Claire is by the fire. She is reading to Seth from Winnie-the-Pooh. Seth is pretending to focus on the moving pictures. Really though he's just trying to break his own record of five consecutive spit bubbles.

"Okay." She smiles. "Show away then."

He produced his pocket-knife and slit his palm, showing the wound to Claire. Unlike the previous time he had done this, he bled a deep blue rather than a rich crimson.

He clenched his fist for a moment and the wound was gone. He wiped the blood away on his overalls.

"Blue?" She raises an eybrow curiously. "What does that mean?"

"Means I'm somethin' else. Not my human part, though. Well, I guess I ain't human." He paused. "Means I'm changed. 'The Prince'." Simply put, he has taken on an avataric role by killing the avatar that came before him. Not that he had wanted to, though.

"Oh." She blinks. "Is that a good thing? For you I mean."

"Maybe. For the whole big plan, yes. Me? I dunno. Probably not. Guess it has it has a good side, though."

"Well, that's good." She grins, and then yawns. "I geuss I should be going to bed soon. I hate to leave you so soon, though. Will you be back in the bar anytime soon?"

"All the time. I ain't diein' anytime soon." He smiled.

"Good." She grins and reaches out to take Seth from him. Seth relaxes in her arms and closes his eyes. He knows it bed-time.

"I'll see you later then, Ben." She smiles and gathers up her things before making her way to the stairs.

He watched her leave with a careful eye, just in case she needed a hand. Once she was out of sight he went on his way.
