OMG BARTENDING POST BLING BLING :O

*Bernard emerges from the Staff Wing and walks behind the Bar.

He doesn't even ask her for cigarettes, and so he's surprised when one lonesome Camel Light appears rather sheepishly on her gleaming surface next to a shot glass and a bottle of Hacienda del Cristero.

He grins.*

Thanks, baby. Think I'll save it up.

*He looks out over the barroom and calls out the specials.*

Welcome to Milliways Happy Hour.

Food specials are chicken casserole; spinach and ricotta quiche; and beefsteak with chips, onions rings and peas.

Drink specials are Magner's cider and Harp lager.

*He pours himself a shot.*

What'll you have?

Well, if she doesn't introduce herself by name, it might go smoothly. . .

Haven't met Bigby's parents yet, but I'm more worried about my own showing up. We didn't exactly see eye to eye on things.

My stepmother . . . was another issue entirely. My parents were real traditionalists. Raised me from birth to always be looking for a nice prince on a white horse and all that, were incredibly supportive when I married Charming. I pretty much cut off contact with them after the divorce, after how they reacted.

I'm afraid to find out what they'd think of Bigby.

That must have been wonderful. Back in the homelands, parents had different takes on things . . . some demanded that their children only date others of royal blood, but some were more lenient, shrugging things off if the guy was a frog or beast or something when they met.

Heh. Sometimes I wonder what things would have been like if Bigby had found me earlier.

*Snow gives a genuine smile*

No doubt.

*Snow nods*

Of course. Have a good evening, Bernard.

*and she heads off to speak with Virginia*
