A very cracky entrance post

omg Nita bling bling.

She enters through the lakeside door and snags a table and a soda, pulling off her grey sweatshirt to reveal a black T-shirt with the words "PLZ HELP I AM TRAPPED INNA BAR" in white on it. Hey, it's not her fault, she's getting all her clothes from the Bar. . .

"I'm okay. How are you?"

"Pretty good. Living here is kind of relaxing. Though I can see it getting boring real fast."

[agirllost]

Kim nods in agreement. "That's why even anti-social people are forced to make friends."

[nita_callahan]

She laughs. "Poor anti-social people. I dunno, I haven't met any anti-social people." Another laugh. "Well, I guess I wouldn't anyway, huh. Mostly people seem to be pretty friendly."

Kim laughs in return. "People are really friendly here. And even non-people."

[nita_callahan]

She thinks. "I've only met one non-human. Yrael. Do you know him?"

[agirllost]

Kim shakes her head. "No, is he an alien?"

[nita_callahan]

Nita snerks. "No, and if you meet him, you should probably not say that. I think he's one of the Powers, or an incarnation of one. He wanders around as either a white cat with green eyes or an albino violinist."

She doesn't mention the pillar-of-blinding-flame trueform.

"A power?" Kim's a little confused. "What's a power?"

[nita_callahan]

"The Powers That Be are the Powers that created all the universes. Like gods, only. . . not." She shrugs helplessly. "It's kind of complicated. Some of them incarnate as gods sometimes." With a grin -- "Or weird things like parrots."

[agirllost]

"So the Macaw is a Power." Kim realizes. "It does sound pretty complicated."

[nita_callahan]

"Yeah, which makes rooming with her a little surreal at times. But hey," she shrugs, "surreal has sort of described the last couple years of my life. She's an incarnation of the One's Chamion -- who was also Athena, Prometheus. . ."

[agirllost]

"I've heard of Athena and Prometheus." Kim's almost relieved to recognize something. "That would be a little surreal. But at least you don't have to argue over who uses the bathroom first."

[nita_callahan]

Nita snerks. "No, I just have to clean up the newspapers."

[agirllost]

"So you kind of have a pet...who helped create the universe?"

[nita_callahan]

Deadpan. "Yes."

Then she cracks up.

[agirllost]

Kim giggles. "I kind of have a pet here. Well I do."

[nita_callahan]

"Oh, cool! What kind?"

[agirllost]

"His name's Niles. I think it's a he. Anyway, he's a goldfish."

[nita_callahan]

Nita laughs, thinking of Tom and Carl's koi. "Nice."

[agirllost]

"Do you have any pets back home?"

[nita_callahan]

"No, but Kit has a dog named Pancho, and Tom and Carl have their dogs and their koi. So I kind of have vicarious pets."

[agirllost]

"What kind of dog is Pancho? I'm not sure you've told me about Tom and Carl?"

[nita_callahan]

"I think Ponch is half border collie, half black lab. He creates universes."

"Tom and Carl are the Area Seniors -- they advise wizards around New York. Tom writes fantasy novels and spells, and Carl sells time for CBS and other wizards."

[agirllost]

"He...he creates universes? Is he also a Power?"

Kim smiles as she at least recognizes that but..."CBS. Carl works for a tv station?"
