*Snow smiles*

This is Wade, Millie's brother.

"Hey Wade." She grins some more at the wind baby. "How's it going, Snow?"

Things are going well, thanks. The twins are growing like crazy and Bigby's busy with Security work. How's everything with you?

"Good. Really, really good." She's getting better at fighting the battle of the blush, but not by much. "Haven't seen the big man around much."

Things going well with Tim, I take it?

Bigby's usually busy with Security, but tonight he's spending some quality time with Millie.

Ace turns just a shade more red. She's still not used to the whole thing.
"Yes. Very well. Ta." She makes a determined effort to get her composure back. "And that's good. She can learn the whole wolf thing."

They get along well together.

By the way . . . Tim was asking about my opinion of marriage the other week. As this was the first I'd heard you were dating, I get the impression that he might be moving too quickly. Probably a good idea to talk to him about setting a proper pace.

Ace gawps. There's really no other word for it.

"Marriage?" She asks, faintly. Yeah. A bit fast for the Ace.

*Snow rapidly aquires a couple mugs of hot chocolate and gently pushes one into Ace's hands*

I thought so. I told him it'd likely be best to take things slow, but it might be a good idea to thwap him an extra time to be sure.

Three cheers for cocoa's restorative powers. Ace gulps hers, rather stunned by the whole thing. She pales a little further.
"He was asking about rings and such the other day... gah, how did I not see that?"

*Snow sips from her own mug and places a comforting hand on the non-mug holding arm. Chocolate cures all ills*

It's not your fault, you had no reason to suspect it.

"But he... I mean, yeah, we... and..." Coherency isn't getting along well with Ace at the moment. A couple awful thoughts have hit Ace all at once. She remembers he had only just broken up with some other girl right before he met her, or was it right after? Anyway. Right there. She was rebound. This is not of the good. And it was so fast... did he not trust her?
"He doesn't even know my name." she tells her cocoa, mournfully.

*Snow manages not to laugh*

Be sure to mention that when explaining to him why it's a good idea to take it slow. It's a sure sign that you're proposing too soon if you can't use the other person's proper name when asking.

"Yeah. Yeah. I'll... I'll talk to him about that." More cocoa. She looks up at Snow. "Did he tell you why? I mean... good grief..."

*Snow shakes her head*

I don't know. I'm not sure if Tim knows.

"Oh grand." 'Cause that doesn't sound like rebound at all, no. "It's going to have to be a rather long chat, isn't it?"

Yes. Yes, it will. If you'd like me to be there, if only to have someone to whack him upside the head while you're throttling him, feel free to ask.

"No, it's alright. I can handle it. I might need cocoa, after, but yeah." Ace can already tell that this won't be good, but she holds out some hope. Tim won't hurt her... right?

Right. I'll tell Bar to have a mug ready for you, on me.

"Ta, Snow." Ace grins, weakly, and sips more of her cocoa, wondering how she always manages to get into these messes anyway.

*Snow gives a small smile*

No problem. And come to me if it seems like he'll need further convincing.

"Right." She offers Snow a sly sort of grin. "'Cause he'd be a bloody idiot to cross you."

*Snow grins*

On numerous levels, not the least of which is that I'm engaged to his boss.

"There is that, yes. Important sort of detail, doncha think." She looks a bit cheered.

*Snow smiles*

Don't worry, he'll probably understand.
