A man walks in.
He's moderately tall, black hair a little long on top and curly, falling into his face. Blue eyes look down at the bundle in his arms, the little tuft of similarly black hair sticking out the top the only indication of what it might be other than the absolute adoration in his eyes. Nestled in the crook of his arm is tall golden staff, hook on the end gleaming in the low light.
He's not dressed up really. There's a Hawaiian shirt, open and showing a wifebeater underneath, accompanied by a black leather jacket tied around his waist. Green goggles sit atop his head at a rakish angle. He's in loose slacks, accompanied by black boots, and he looks like he's had a long day.
"Hello, Kyle...how're you tonight? Daddy's home from extra work and Mikey and Tony are all gone and it's just you and..."
He looks up.
Blinks in confusion.
"Me?"

*Tim nods.*
Oh, and his clone too.

He shakes his head and nods finally, careful not to wake the baby.
"Guess I've been pretty busy with things...no wonder I missed somethings."
He makes a vague gesture upwards. Stars and such.
He looks to Tim.
"So...any way out of this place?"
no subject
The door.
no subject
"Nope. That's the door."
He points toward the lake door.
no subject
*Tim grins.*
The bar will give youa room key. Scuse me.
*an Tim ambles off.*

"Hullo there."
no subject
"Hello. Um, would you happen to know how I could, uh, apparently get a room key for me and the kiddo? Seems I'm Bound or something. That Tim guy didn't really explain much about it, but seems I can't find the front door."
no subject
"Did Tim manage to explain about the Bar? She's a lovely dear, I'm sure she wouldn't mind providing pretty much anything you needed..."
no subject
He holds onto Kyle carefully, almost bobbling out the Cosmic Rod from the crook of his arm.
"And, uh, I'm gonna need a little help getting a seat so I don't skewer the kid while I set us down."
no subject
"Easy, now... something tells me you'd probably not really want to drop either of those, and chances are you're not gonna trust someone you've just met with either of them either."
She gives him a smile, and waves over to the empty table a few feet away.
"Come on, let's have a seat, and I'll be good and explain the rules and all. Can I get you something to drink? Tea, maybe, or... or I can get something to eat for you from the bar, or something for the bebe...?"
no subject
He walks over, putting Kyle down carefully onto the surface of the table before juggling the Cosmic Rod out from his elbow and putting it deep into the booth. He picks up Kyle a moment later and sits down, holding him close as he waits for her.
"Uh, thanks."
no subject
"It's not a problem, really. I was feeling kind of bored anyway... not quite in the mood to go to the party upstairs. Weird things going on with some of my family lately, you see."
She gives him a polite smile, setting soda and bottle down in front of him, and curls up on the bench opposite with her tea.
no subject
"Yeah, family..."
Says the man sitting with a baby he's just recovered from his psychotic villaness mother just before losing his father.
no subject
"Anyway... how much did Tim cover...? The Bar herself is sentient, if you ask her for just about anything she'll give it to you, and run you up a tab if you don't pay as you go. Keep your personal business out of the bar, try to avoid violence because they don't really care for that much here... you don't want to piss off Death, so."
no subject
He looks down to his son for a moment before staring up at her.
"And, uh, by the way...who might you be?"
no subject
"Yeah, sorry... I'm Eris. The Eris, if you've heard of any of them. And you?"
no subject
And he's officially decided that thinking is bad for the night and that he won't be doing any more of it than necessary. Thinking about the fact that the woman across from him is claiming to be the Goddess of Chaos, Discord, and Confusion is part of that 'unecessary' pile. She's not going after him, nor Kyle...
no subject
"Nice to meet you, Jack." She smiles. "I'll have to make sure to introduce you to Bar once you've got young Mr Knight there settled as well... she's a real sweetheart, actually, and I'm sure she'll be very helpful, especially with the kid."
She takes another sip of her tea.
"Oh, and there's a young girl around here who isn't really all that young, purple hair, tendency to pass out malicious baked goods. Her name is Anthy."
no subject
"Right. I'll keep that in mind. I like my baked goods strictly benevolent. They have more chocolate chips that way."
no subject
Eris shrugs, and takes another sip of her tea.
no subject
He adjusts the bottle a little.
"I'm working on the careful side of things, considering. I mean, if something comes up, I'll..."
He points to the cosmic rod with nod of the head.
"But this little guy's my main concern."
no subject
"Well, if you're lucky, you'll manage to avoid all the purple in this bar... and after all, having your son be your main concern isn't really a bad thing, after all."
no subject
"Yeah. I was...kinda thinking of giving up the Rod before I ended up here...focus on the kid, join...join Sadie and everything."
He shrugs.
"Guess I got a little prempted on that...though I'm glad I got here with it."
Because he wants to be able to protect his son if any of those dead people he's not really hoping to meet show up.
no subject
"What's your son's name, by the way? I confess to a curiosity in the matter, as he's utterly adorable."
