"Ma?"

He walks in, blinking around, a little confused. A small enough child, lame leg trailing behind him as he turns his head this way and that, obviously looking for someone. The cane in his hands is clutched tightly.

"Ma? Ma? Mister Stroker sir? Ma?"

He's starting to think this isn't home.

He nods.

"No, she's Staff. She's a waitress. And a--"

He blushes and looks sheepish and embarrassed and doesn't say anything else.

"But thank you, Miss Polly. I'll keep looking around."

And he likes this place because there's plenty of open room where nobody'll be able to kick out his cane.

Yeah but she might not be staff at this bar.

*she smiles at the little Po, *

You are very welcome, Po. You let me know if you need anything. i've been here for a while I know a lot.

He nods solemnly.

"Okay."

And then his stomach rumbles. But...

"Cheap...didn't even give me a tip..."

Are you hungry? I am sure I could find you something if you are.

"I-"

And he is so he finally nods.

"Sort of. But I don't have any money."

How about I get you somehting and we can figure someway to pay me back. You do choresa dn work at home, so you can just workoff what you owe, if you would like.

He nods.

"All right."

*she walks over to the bar making sure that the little Po is behind he, she is half a mind to have it put on Po's tab but she decides she'll just pay for this one*

The bar is pretty nice about letting people pay when they can. there is a tab board up there on the wall and they keep track of who owes.. So what would you like to eat, Po?

"Food."

Because at Stroker's, food isn't so much a what as it is a 'what's left'.

*Polly whispers something to the bar and a plate full of food appears. There is meat and fruit and other things that the boy might like"

*Polly grins at the boy*

He staaaaaaaaaares.

"That's meat!"

*Polly nods*

Yeah, it is. It'll still be meat no matter how long you stare, Po.

*Polly giggles*

"And you got it for me to eat? I'll never be able to pay that off!"

Meat's cheap here, don't worry about it. Besides I pay well. Don't worry about it just eat.

He blinks and nods and like the child he is, pops himself onto the seat and starts wolfing it down. His eyes are closed with bliss as this is the best meal he's had for ages.

"Mimf if meerymerry gommf."*
*"this is very very good."

*Polly grins and watches him eat. He is adorable.*

Good, i am glad to hear that.

"Mrwordat?"*
*"You heard that?"

Sorta, my little sister talks with her mouth full all the time.

*she grins*

"Muu motta mismter?"*
*you've got a sister?

Yeah, her name is Maggie. But she doesn't live here.

He swallows.

"Oh. I don't have any siblings. It's just me and Ma and Astel and Mister Stroker and the others."

Well, you have a lot of people though. All I had was Mom and Dad and Maggie.

He blinks.

"I don't have them. They're just there."

Oh,okay.

He nods and continues to eat.
