After wandering around outside for a bit, Kim's back in the bar and eating french fries.

The bar's mood has improved a lot over the last day or so and she's kind of wondering why.

"Turkey."

"Oh, then you're from Earth," Kim smiles a little.

"Where are you from?"

"Los Angeles, California."

Dina continues to smile. "That is where I lived before I came here. Are there many people from Los Angeles in the bar?"

"Cool, what year are you from?" Kim eats one of her fries.

"A lot of people from my home are here."

"2010. How many?"

"Most of the people I worked with," Kim says after a moment. "I'm from 2008."

"And where did you work?"

"In Counter Terrorism."

"Counterterrorism? Is that for the government?"

Kim nods, "I used to work with my dad, but not anymore."

"Who is your father?"

Kim thinks that's an odd question but well, it can't hurt. She glances around but doesn't see him.

"Jack Bauer."

Somehow Dina manages not to show any facial reaction to that.

"Is he in the bar?"

"Yeah, but not at the moment. Why?"

"Oh, it was just a question. Did you like working with your father?"

"I didn't work with him all that much, more just at the same office." Because the truth is that no, working with her dad was not really that much fun at the end.

"Do you know a young lady named Chris?"

Kim nods, "You mean Chris Chappelle?"

"I believe so. She said her father was Ryan Chappelle and that he died in the line of duty. Did you know him?"

Kim pales just a little, "You know Chris I'm guessing."

"I only just met her the other day." She tilts her head. "What is wrong?"

"Nothing. Um, so you lived in Los Angeles before you lived in Turkey?"

She lowers her head a little. There's something Kim is not explaining. Something Chris hasn't told her. She'll have to investigate further.

"No. It is the other way around. I was born in Turkey and moved here with my family."
