Virginia was humming slightly to herself, and looking through her wedding magazines. She looked up every so often to make sure that no one was coming after her.

She didn't care what Wolf said. She wasn't going to be paranoid. She wasn't going to hide. She was going to live her life, deranged weirdos or not.

She was, however, going to be careful, and aware of her surroundings.

Which, honestly, wasn't much different from what a single woman had to do in New York, biking to and from work alone and all.

Bethany sits and sips more juice.

"I'm due on March twenty-fifth in my world, but I'm told that the calendar is a little different here. I'm about eighteen weeks into my pregnancy, and she's a girl. How about you?"

"21 weeks. No ideas what gender. No gymnastics yet." Virginia bit her lip. "Which worries me a little, as I'm supposed to be feeling the little sprog doing backflips in there by now." She frowned at her belly. "The doctor says that it's developing slowly. I'm hoping that's just because my babe's not entirely human."

"Not entirely human?"

She gives an odd look, but says nothing judgmental. Her own pregnancy is an oddity anyway.

"And that's odd that it's not moving yet. I can feel mine already."

She puts VIrginia's hand on her lower abdomen to show her the tiny butterfly flutters.

Virginia broke into a huge grin. "Oh! Oh my God, that's just...it's like butterflies."

She explained, "It's not human because its daddy's not human. He's half-wolf." A pause. "Um, no bestiality was involved, I swear."

She grins back and bounces a little.

"It really is. It sort of tickles right now. I'm just worried about how it will feel when she gets bigger."

She smirks a little at the last bit.

"I'll take your word on that. I get the feeling that a lot of the babies here are special."
