Virginia was humming slightly to herself, and looking through her wedding magazines. She looked up every so often to make sure that no one was coming after her.
She didn't care what Wolf said. She wasn't going to be paranoid. She wasn't going to hide. She was going to live her life, deranged weirdos or not.
She was, however, going to be careful, and aware of her surroundings.
Which, honestly, wasn't much different from what a single woman had to do in New York, biking to and from work alone and all.

"Hi, Wolf... oh." and trails off, embarrassed.

"Wolf...is my mat--fiance," she said, thoroughly confused. She tilted her head. "How'd you...?"
no subject
"His scent is all over you," she explains, quietly but unashamedly, offering a hand. "I'm Angua."

It did not surprise her at all that Wolf's smell was over her, and that she smelled more like Wolf than like Virginia. This was because Wolf was usually all over her. Every night. Enthusiastically. And she was equally enthusastic about it.
Which made it slightly embarassing that someone could smell something like that, but then it didn't, because she was getting some and it was good, so who cared?
"Are you part-wolf like Wolf is?"
no subject
"I'm a werewolf," she says frankly.

Who gets hit with bottles.

Mind you, this was not like tapping a dog on the noise, because a) wedding magazines were thick, b) she rolled it up so tightly it was about as hard as plywood, and c) she was really good at hitting things with other things (this is established in her canon, even).
To Xander, it probably felt like he got smacked in the side of the head by a flagpole.
When she saw who it was, her eyes went wide with horror and embarassment, and she held a hand to her mouth and went, "oooooOOOOH! Oh my God, sorry! I thought you were someone else!"

"Who'd you think I was, a pinata?"

"Ah, Disney. A wellspring of Satanic and whackable evil." At least he got the right girl, though, right? "Uh, yeah. Ice is good. Thanks."

How're you doing, Virginia? I haven't seen you for a while...

I...he and I share some similarities. And I've named him 'brother' in my eyes. He's a wonderful man and I've told him that if he needs me to do anything, I'd do it for him. I...hope you won't be offended if I extend the promise to you as well..."

She nodded to the seat across from her. "Join me. How's C'Nedra? Still nagging about babies?"
no subject
She's very well. We've...discussed things and the issue is settled for now. Now she's just wild about the fact that I'm finally employed. Says she might actually come down soon.
