Behrooz enters the bar, feeling better than he has in a few days. He's not really hungry, so he just sits down with a glass of tea and watches the other patrons of the bar for a bit.

David gestures towards the seat next to Behrooz. "Mind if I sit here?"

Ok then.
Behrooz pauses for a moment, his mind amusedly pondering all the awful things his parents have told him about this man. But he looks up and sees that his mother isn't in the bar.
"Yes, that's fine, sir..." he says uncertainly. "Aren't you...?"
no subject
Smiling, he extends his hand. "Yes, I am. David Palmer."

He thought of this as quickly as possible in the hopes he wouldn't give any reaction to that date. "I didn't know if you ... knew you weren't the president anymore, sir."

"Do you have any friends or family here? Or are you here by yourself?"

"Yes, there are several people I know here and most of them seem to be from 2010. Are you from California also?"
no subject
"How did you end up here, sir?" He wonder if the change of subject is too obvious.

"I just opened a door and found myself here. I was a bit confused, as you can imagine."
no subject
"Yeah, I can imagine that," he says, probably one of the few truthful things he's said in this conversation, which allows him to relax a little.
