Behrooz enters the bar, feeling better than he has in a few days. He's not really hungry, so he just sits down with a glass of tea and watches the other patrons of the bar for a bit.

"Um, my mother's here," Behrooz says, leaving out the "dead" and "hopefully no where in sight" parts. "That's it, though. I didn't know how many people from... my time were here."

He nods slightly. He was glad Esmail wasn't here alone, this place was disorienting enough for an adult, let alone a child.

"Yes, there are several people I know here and most of them seem to be from 2010. Are you from California also?"

"Yeah, I'm from Los Angeles." He says it kind of instinctively, and instantly wonders if he should have - why would Palmer think he's from California?

"How did you end up here, sir?" He wonder if the change of subject is too obvious.

"I think almost all the people I know in here are from Los Angeles," he says with a smile.

"I just opened a door and found myself here. I was a bit confused, as you can imagine."

That doesn't make Behrooz feel any better. He doesn't really want to run into any government people from his time. But he smiles back nonetheless.

"Yeah, I can imagine that," he says, probably one of the few truthful things he's said in this conversation, which allows him to relax a little.
