Elaine doesn't want to have seen what she saw last night.

Not that place. Not her friend.

She hasn't been able to move since, and she's still shaking a little.

Elaine is sitting in a chair, knees to chest, bottle of beer in hand. It's the first one of the day, so no worries there.

She's not been back to her room, and she's not eaten anything today, either.

She might be afraid to close her eyes.

Angelo happens to pass by and stops, frowning, when he sees her.

"Elaine?"

She doesn't respond much, merely raises a hand in greeting, eyes flickering over to him.

He gets a drink of his own and drags up a chair to sit next to her.

"What happened?" He's not at all sure he wants to know the answer.

Elaine shuts her eyes. She doesn't even want to think about it.

"Do you know Faith?"

Shit. No. Not her too.

"Yeah."

"She was taken into hell. Last night. Saw it."

She shudders and puts her forehead on her knees.

Not that place. Not her friend.

Angelo goes ash-pale and automatically wraps an arm around her.

"You... God, Elaine."

"...wish I could do something..."

She’ll be lucky if all they do is kill her...

"I think someone is going to go after her..."

"Who? I'm going with them."

"I don't know. I heard things, but wasn't...wasn't comprehending...I think maybe a person named Tim?"

Angelo nods grimly. "I'll find him later. For now... are you okay?"

She shrugs. "I will be for now. Thank you, Angelo."

"OK, maybe not my place... but you don't look okay."

"Elaine?" Michelle asks softly, not so wrapped up in her own problems that she could fail to notice a very shaken friend.

Elaine looks over at Michelle. Maybe she ought to speak. "Hullo." Yeah, her voice also sounds horrible.

Michelle sits next to her. "Hi," she looks at her with concern.

Elaine takes a drink of her beer. Oddly enough, she doesn't think she can hold anything else down.

"One of my friends left the bar last night."

It's the understatement of the year, but she's proud of her coherent answer.

Michelle notices the way that Elaine's gripping the beer and thinks there must be something more to it.

"A close friend?"

"One of them, yes. She fell into Hell."

Elaine shudders. "Can't close my eyes. I'll see it."

"She...she what?"

"She was at the mouth of Hell, I saw it through the doors and there were demons and she pulled it down when she fell..."

That noise you hear? That's Michelle's brain going *pop*.

"The door opened to hell?"

Elaine just nods, and puts her head down on her knees.

At almost a complete loss, Michelle touches her back awkwardly.

This makes her nightmare seem like child's play.

Elaine's still shaking.

And for the first time since she's come to Milliways, she says in a small, small voice, "I want to go home."
