"Give it a week," Asar-Suti suggest. "These curses tend to be week-long, not just when they're Loki's. You can still panic then, if it doesn't go away."

He shrugs. Eska doesn't seem to listen to sense, as she doesn't feel any better at his words.

"Or you could live dangerously and try Loki, Trent, or Delirium of the Endless next, but don't blame me if you end up weird-shaped because they took you literally or found it funny."

"I'll find a way," Eska repeats. "You want to help me research, or are you going to stay out here?"

Asar-Suti shrugs.

"Books don't like me recently; I must have too much on my mind what with Gil so changed and strange for the cold Ihlini intellect part of me to function properly," he admits. "I wouldn't be much use to you, I suspect. So I better stay out here, where I am anong things that do talk to me."
