It's morning in Ankh Morpork, but Angua's just come off her shift. She's tried, but worried about Shelley, and is currently sitting at the Bar picking at a vegetarian fry-up.
Tell her there's no point to a vegetarian fry-up.
Tell her there's no point to a vegetarian fry-up.

He smells something that catches his attention but has no idea what.

"Oh, hello. Don't mind me. I'm just eating breakfast, and find that nothing goes with steak tartare like a glass of fine wine."
no subject
Angua nods, and after checking around the room for anyone that might see her speaking canine, replies:
*I'm not minding you. But don't you find wine glasses easier to handle with opposable thumbs?*

It takes a few seconds for the wolf register something about what she said. Or rather, how she said it.
"Pardon me, miss, but did you just speak to me in wolf?"
no subject
She sounds amused. He seems new to this.

"My current shape? So you can tell that this is...abnormal for me? Very well. I wil not deny that I am usually a human.
"However, you could speak English as well. Apparently, I have no trouble communciating in that language either. Though how I know that is beyond me." And the wolf takes a lap of wine in a way that could almost be called effete.
no subject
"So how long have you been able to change shape?"
no subject
"Only two days. And I have no idea quite what happened. But I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth.
"Or would be a gift wolf in this case. It's been quite liberating."
no subject
"Liberating how?" she asks, suspiciously.
no subject
"And the food tastes different. Sharper. I daresay that I might have to order all of my favorite meals again just to see what I have missed.
"Though it does seem unlikely that The Four Seasons serves wolves."
no subject
"And the smells?" she prompts
no subject
"Your questions, miss, seem to be fairly knowledgable. As if your strange ability to speak in wolf. Are you some kind of zookeeping prodigy? Or - and till two days ago I would have thought this impossible - also some kind of chimera or lycanthrope?"

She no longer has the crutch, and looks a little better.

"Good morning."
no subject
"Oh... Um, morning!"
She pushes out a chair for Angua.
no subject
"Are you OK?" she asks.
no subject
"I am... better. Than I was." Beat. "How are you?"

What fascinating tea it must be.

"That's better than nothing, then."

"I haven't... really been around either."
Ah, evasion.
