Seth entered the bar, feeling much better then the day before. Ordering a bagel and a cup of coffee, he situated himself at a table, eating and people watching. Maybe he'd run into someone he knew, or maybe he'd even meet someone else. He'd welocome anyone, after all, he's feeling rather social today.

"It's good." Jaina shrugs. "Saber practice, spending time with Jag and other friends. Nothing that excting." She takes another bite of the bagel piece. "How about you? How do you like Milliways so far?"

"It's not bad. I've had trouble sleeping, but other then that I'm having a good time so far," Seth said, taking a bite of his own bagel. "I'm getting sort of bored though. There's only so much of sitting around a bar I can take before I break into show tunes and start dancing on table tops, ya know?"

She nods, knowing that feeling all too well. "Can you leave?"

Seth shrugged, staring down into his cup of coffee. "I don't know. I can see the door, but I'm afraid to try it."

Jaina turns to look towards the door, a small frown on her face. "Last time I tried opening it, there wasn't anything on the other side. That was almost three months ago."

She gives him a sympathetic smile. "I've been afraid to try again."

"I know what you mean. I'm afraid that there won't be anything there, and then what?" Seth shrugged his shoulders, giving Jaina a sad smile in return.

"Then your Bound." She lets out a small sigh, not too happy with that. "At least I can visit other people's worlds if they take me."

Seth sighed as well, taking a sip of his now cold coffee. "I wish I had the courage to just try it and see, but I guess when it comes down to it I'm just a wuss."

"Everyone lacks courage sometimes."

"I lack it ninty percent of the time," he said sadly, pushing his plate and half-finished bagel away from him.

"That can't be true." She looks down at the half-finished bagel and winces. "I didn't cause you to lose your appetite, did I?"

Seth shook his head, pushing away his coffee as well. "Nah. Just not hungry anymore," he said, glancing at the door nervously. "Maybe tomorrow I'll get up the nerve."

Jaina nods. "Would it help if you had someone go with you? Backup of a sort?"

"That'd be nice," he said, leaning his elbow on the table, his chin in his hand.

Jaina smiles. "I don't mind volunteering for the mission."

Seth returned the smile. "Thanks. I appreciate it, Jaina. And hey, if I can get home, you're welcome to come visit Orange County."

"You're welcome, Seth. Just find me whenever you want to give it a try." She takes a sip of her drink. "And if you do get home, I might take you up on that. I've been to Earth twice and wouldn't mind going again."

"Maybe tomorrow, after dinner. That gives me some time to think about it and prepare myself," he said, leaning back in his chair with a sigh. "I just hope I can get back. I'm really starting to miss Summer."

"Alright." She cocks her head, looking at him curiously. "Isn't summer a season?"

Seth smiled at that. "No...well, yes, but the Summer I'm talking about is a person. She's my girlfriend."

"My mistake." Jaina chuckles. "I don't blame you, then."

"It's all right. But yeah...I'm really starting to miss her. I don't have anyone to yell at me if she's not around."

"Why would she yell at you?"

Seth grinned again. "That's just Summer. But I've been in love with her for...wow...as long as I can remember."

"That's a long time," Jaina replies, wrapping her hand around her necklace. "It must be an incredible feeling."
