Seth entered the bar, feeling much better then the day before. Ordering a bagel and a cup of coffee, he situated himself at a table, eating and people watching. Maybe he'd run into someone he knew, or maybe he'd even meet someone else. He'd welocome anyone, after all, he's feeling rather social today.

A tall, dark, and handsome man of an indeterminate age is sitting nearby playing the piano. He is wearing immaculate, and well-tailored dress attire, and seems to be rather involved in the beautiful, but extremely gloomy music that he is playing.

Seth watches the man with interest, nibbling on his bagel and bobbing his head slowly in time to the dreary music. It wasn't really his cup of tea, but it somehow seemed to fit the mood of the day.

Slowly, the bard faded the music out, and watched Seth carefully through the curtain of his dark hair. His face is emotionless. The bard's voice is cool, and dry. He turns his head, and addresses Seth.

"Good afternoon, my lord."

"Uh, yeah, good afternoon," Seth replied, giving the man a look. "And uh, you can just call me Seth."

Asmodean nodded.

"A pleasure making your acquaintance, Lord Seth."

His voice was still cool, and dry. The way the words flowed out suggested that it was somewhat of a habit, or it would to the observant.

Seth nodded as well, albeit a little slowly.

"Um, yeah, ok, you don't have to tack the Lord on there. Seth is fine," he said, giving the guy a lopsided smile.

Asmodean made a graceful, and slightly conciliatory gesture with his right hand. His voice inflection has yet to change.

"My apologies, an old habit."

"Hey, it's all right. So...what's that you're playing," Seth asked, taking a long drink of his coffee.

Asmodean considered for a moment, as if he were not actually sure what he was playing. His voice may have a touch of pride to it.

"A piece called the Ballad of the Corinin, one of my earlier works."

Seth nodded appreciatively. "So you write your own music? Nice. Can't say I've ever heard of the Ballad of Corinin, but still nice."

Chuckling darkly, Asmodean gave a half-smile.

"I would not expect for you to have heard of it. I am not from the same... world as most of the denizens of the bar."

Explaining the Wheel of Time to this kid would be a cause so lost that even Rand Al'Thor would not take it.

"Yeah, I'm from uh...2005. Earth. California, actually. Pretty boring compared to most other people I'm sure," Seth said, cracking a smile. "So, what's your name? I don't think I caught it. Or maybe you just didn't say it."

Asmodean chuckled slightly.

"I am called Jasin Natael."

Would he welcome a Jedi? Anyway, a distracted Jaina walks by his table, a glass of Corellian ale in hand.

"Hey! Jaina!" Seth smiled as he called out to her, waving sheepishly as she passed by his table. He realized that he probably sounded like the biggest dork on the planet. "Want a uh, a bagel? I have cream cheese!"

She stops, recognizing her name. She spots Seth and waves, walking over. "Hey Seth," she says, smiling slightly. "What's a bagel?"

Seth pushed the plate towards her with a smile. "That's a bagel. Come on, sit down and try one. If f you don't like it....well...then I don't know if we can be friends," he said, his tone joking.

Jaina takes a seat, tearing off a piece of the bagel that she places in her mouth. She chews experimentally, and then smiles. "It's not bad. Better than Oreos."

"Here, put some of this on it." Seth pushes the plate of cream cheese towards Jaina, handing her a butter knife. "Just sort of spread it on."

Jaina nods, taking the knife and spreading some cream cheese on another piece. She takes another bite. "Is that some sort of cheese?"

Seth nods and smiles. "Yeah, it's cream cheese. So...what have you been up to?"

"It's good." Jaina shrugs. "Saber practice, spending time with Jag and other friends. Nothing that excting." She takes another bite of the bagel piece. "How about you? How do you like Milliways so far?"

"It's not bad. I've had trouble sleeping, but other then that I'm having a good time so far," Seth said, taking a bite of his own bagel. "I'm getting sort of bored though. There's only so much of sitting around a bar I can take before I break into show tunes and start dancing on table tops, ya know?"

She nods, knowing that feeling all too well. "Can you leave?"

Seth shrugged, staring down into his cup of coffee. "I don't know. I can see the door, but I'm afraid to try it."
