Bartending!

Claire steps behind the bar and immediately sets about wiping her down and then straightening the rows of liquor and garnishes. She's in a good mood today and hums to herself as she works.

When she's finally done, she turns to the patrons around the bar and smiles.

Claire looks up with a slightly embarrassed smile. "Hey, Penny. Absolutely."

She pours a fresh glass of water and sets a lemon wedge on the rim. "How are you doing?"

"Very good," she nods with a smile. "Better after last week. I'm not usually so. . . forward, honest."

I didn't figure you were, just figured you were havin a bad couple days. We all have em.

She smiles grateful. "I got bitten by bug actually. Some weird Milliways thing. You never know what's going to happen around here."

Well, that explains a lot actually. Some of the strangest things happen here. But atleast you can never be bored.

"That's a good perspective," she grins. "So how's life with the War god this week?"

Life with the war god is back to normal. I'm here. he's not.

"I'm sorry," she frowns sympathetically. "That must be very difficult."

It is, which is why the idea of going away with him is nice. All of the changes might be worth seeing him more often.

"Do you not have any way you can summon him or something?"

No, not really. and he won't let me come with him on his jobs cause I could get hurt and that scares him, I think.

She nods. "Have you talked anymore about becoming a goddess?"

No, but I doubt I'll get goddess status. Probably immortality or being turned into something. Besides what would I be 'Peny Lane- goddess of Rock and Roll and the women who love it'?

She laughs. "That would be cool. There needs to be a goddess of Rock and Roll."

Probably not possible. I've only met the nicer members of his family. But I seriously doubt any of them would be okay with me being a goddess. Probably not even him.

"Well. . .at least then it would give you a little security. So maybe you wouldn't end up a tree or something." she offers a small smile.

Charlie thinks I need to stipulate that I wanna stay young cause I could age into a cricket. And if I do get turned into something you will all come visit me.

"Of course we will," she grins. "I wonder how much authority other gods have with the greeks? I know Asar-Suti and Jack. . .they could. . .put in a good word for you, maybe? Or turn you back."

I think some of the greeks might have a problem with me getting changed to something else. I'm sure I won't have a problem there. I hope
