Connor likes to be well prepared. That's why he's been sleeping later since the bar has started grabbing him: as much as he likes to enjoy the early morning dew, he feels he needs to sacrifice a few minutes of it. If this place is going to keep interrupting his sleep, then he needs to prepare for this.

It's been working pretty well, but he hasn't been snatched by the bar again. At least not until today. And when he walks into it rather than his bedroom (for a third time), he can't help but grin a little.

He wonders what interesting things he'll see today...

"I'm guessing you're more of a vigilante than an accepted branch of the system, then. I get that, though I am part of the system, now." Duo gives Connor a crooked grin.

"Oh? And what do you do?" Connor raises an eyebrow. He's a little surprised by that, but that's only because of what the man had said previously.

"I'm a Preventer. Peacekeeping officer, from my time. Demolitions, crack shot, and special ops." He grins, and shows Connor the Preventers ID.

Connor studies the ID curiously. "Sounds interesting. Special ops? What does that entail?"

Duo smirks. "Anything the other teams don't want to do. If you want someone to sneak in to a fortress, and either have no one know you were there, or leave not even two bricks standing on top of each other, you send me. Or my friends."

"Interesting," Connor blinks. "And how would you pull off that brick move?" Yes, he is going to keep asking questions until Duo says otherwise.

"Explosives," he says with a wicked grin. "Lots of them. And... general mayhem, that sort of thing. Widescale destruction was easier when we had our Gundams, though."

"...and you aim for widescale destruction?" That was more than a little worrying. Connor thought that people would want to try to -prevent- that.

Duo chuckles. "That was during the way. I'm a Preventer now. We try and stop that sort of thing before it starts, now. But now and then, yanno. Sometimes you just have to make something go boom."

"...I suppose," Connor says, raising an eyebrow. "But I try to avoid that myself."

Duo laughs. "It's more practice than actual explosions mostly, now. I run demolitions classes. Building and dismantling."
