Connor likes to be well prepared. That's why he's been sleeping later since the bar has started grabbing him: as much as he likes to enjoy the early morning dew, he feels he needs to sacrifice a few minutes of it. If this place is going to keep interrupting his sleep, then he needs to prepare for this.
It's been working pretty well, but he hasn't been snatched by the bar again. At least not until today. And when he walks into it rather than his bedroom (for a third time), he can't help but grin a little.
He wonders what interesting things he'll see today...

If that's what he meant, anyway.

Who else could it be but a grinning Kyle Rayner? He had been dropped into the bar once again, and in civvies, too! But he didn't really care at this point.

"But if we did, my life would be less interesting," Connor says, offering a smile for his friend.
no subject
"Aww. Do you miss me?" He asked, grinning. But in reality, he meant it. He missed Connor in his day-to-day life out in space. Hell, he missed a lot of people. But Connor and Jen most.

Although Connor did wonder about the collar sometimes. And, because Connor is not the type to be in denial, he'll freely admit to missing Kyle. "Of course."
no subject
"Man, you're probably one of the few men in this world who will admit so easily to missing someone," Kyle said with a laugh. "But I miss you too, man."
no subject
It's possible, you know.
"Why?" Connor asks curiously. "There's nothing -wrong- with missing someone." Ah, Kyle missed him too? "Guess it's a good thing we both found this place."

...With his ring! Ah, handy thing.
"It's just not considered a manly thing to do. Women everywhere would gasp in shock if they saw us right now," he said with a grin.
no subject
"That's...strange," Connor says puzzledly. "Is that why I..." He blinks and trails off. No, no going there with Kyle. He'd never hear the end of it.
no subject
"What?" Kyle asked curiously, nudging Connor. "Why you what?"
no subject
"No, forget it," Connor says, shaking his head. "So, what's new?" He tries as a distraction tactic. Probably won't work, but it's worth trying.
no subject
Yeah, distracting Kyle didn't work. He's curious as a cat.
"Nope. What were you going to say, Connor?"
no subject
Connor just shakes his head at Kyle again. "There's no throwing you off the scent, is there?" He grins ruefully. "People just seem to get this...conception of me, and I wonder if it has anything to do with me not acting the way I 'should'."
